Hello,everyone.

Today I am participate a holiday contest in Bangladesh. This is a special day for the bengali nation. This day is "Pohela Boishak" or The first day Bengali new year.

Pohela Boishakh is the 1st day of the Bengali new year. Just waiting for a night after the last sunset of last year. Then the first sunrise of the new year in the sky. We have to move forward in a desperate effort to find the good days ahead, leaving behind the days of sorrow, success, failure, joy and separation of the past years. The first day of the Bengali New Year. The celebration of Boishakh is one of the foremost Bengali rituals. Bengali New Year is a joinfestival of all Bengalis irrespective of religion and caste.

The beginning of the new year:

It is known from the history of the birth and development of the Bengali nation in Bangladesh, the civilization, culture, culture, festivals, festivals of the Genetic delta area are all based on agriculture. The Bengali year was no exception. There have been various festivals in our country.The birth year of the Bengali year or Bangabda is closely associated with these festivals.

Students of the Institute of Fine Arts welcome the new year by participating in the Baishakhi Rally by making a Laikj painting, a Laikj dressed elephant and a neck mask. Chayanat welcomes the new year with Rabindra Sangeet at the base of Ramna from Veer. On the sunny morning of Pohela Boishakh, the poet touches the hearts of the Bengalis by piercing the air around Ramna:

tāpasa niḥśbāsa bāẏē mumūṣurē dā'ō uṛāẏē
baṯsarēra ābarjanā dūra haẏē yāka.

Those who do not wear Punjabi pajamas all year round also wear Punjabi pajamas on the first Baishakh. Women wear sari. With that He decorated it in keeping with the Bengali culture.

Public celebration of Bengali New Year:

Bengali New Year is a joyous day in the history of the Bengali nation. This day is celebrated every year in a festive atmosphere. Various ceremonies are also held on this occasion. Such as- Baishakhi Mela, Halkhata,- these are the public events of Bengalis on the occasion of New Year.

  • Baishakhi Mela: On the occasion of the first Baishakh, the most notable fair in the country is the Baishakhi Mela. At this fair pottery and cottage industries are bought and sold. Many people of different professions bring their products to the fair and sell. Such as: baskets, kula, sieves, balloon-pidi, pots and pans, various types of earthenware, wooden utensils and various toys. In addition, the fairgrounds are busy with carousels, bioscopes, lotteries, magic shows, puppet dances, etc.
  • Halkhata: Bengali New Year is associated not only with culture but also with economics. Pohela Boishakh is the day of halakhata of the business community. The significance of this halakhata is a lot of economic transactions. By calculating the arrears of the whole year, the traders eat the new ledger by deleting the old ledger. Buyers are invited to collect old year dues. The shops of the merchants are washed and cleaned and decorated with colored paper and balloons.

New Year in Urban Life:

Bengali New Year or Pahela Boishakh brings a message of new life in cities and metropolises. Panta Hilsa and various dishes are served in almost every house in the city. The people of the city celebrate the New Year more beautifully than the villagers. All the women wear basanti colored saris and the men wear Punjabi-pajamas. On this occasion, various organizations and institutions took various programs.
  • New Year inspires people to work with new energy. On this day, people wish the success of the new life by removing all the failures and filth of the old year. Bengali New Year inspires Bengalis to move forward with new hopes and dreams.
