ATTACK HELICOPTER IN BANGLADESH!!!
Given the geopolitical realities, changing tactics, and the continued military build-up of neighboring countries, the Bangladesh Air Force feels the need to further enhance its overall capabilities. That's why they want to add modern technology attack helicopters to the fleet. In the meantime, an initiative has been taken to purchase eight MI-28NE attack helicopters at a cost of Taka 4,100 crore.
According to the Defense Ministry's proposal, a total of Tk 5,050 crore is required for the purchase of eight attack helicopters in favor of the Air Force and for the maintenance and repair of other aircraft including C-130J aircraft.
In a letter to the Ministry of Defense, the Air Force said that the overall capacity building of the Bangladesh Air Force is especially important due to the geopolitical realities in Bangladesh, changing tactics, and the continued military build-up of neighboring countries.
Neighboring countries have been using attack helicopters for a long time. The Bangladesh Air Force is also realizing the need to add this helicopter to the fleet. Following this, according to the Forces Goal-2030, a total of 12 attack helicopters have been planned to be included in the Air Force. In view of the contemporary geopolitical realities, Hon'ble Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has already given policy approval to purchase eight attack helicopters for the Air Force within five years.
The MI-27 is a Russian all-weather, day-night, military tandem, two-seater anti-armor attack helicopter, capable of attacking the enemy in any weather. It has a state-of-the-art night vision system to conduct night operations. These helicopters are designed to get an idea of the enemy's position as well as the enemy's manpower. The helicopter has an armed security system.
