CONTEST// TRAVEL REVIEW: WEEK 2

Traveling is one thing you will ever do and get a life time experience. I happened to be a person who loves so much to travel and tour around the country and I got more desire to tour the world, from those known places; pyramids in Egypt, the Tokyo, Paris and so many.

Well, as much as I haven’t gotten there yet, I have at least travelled around my country Uganda. I have reached some parts of the East, West, North and of course here in the central too. I travel with groups and sometimes I do it alone. I have been to Oguzulu resort beach, it was a very nice experience for we had planned as a group to go have fun. We decided on a day, fare, meetup time and place, we choose Lugogo Mall as the meet up place at 6:30am. Everyone on the agreed date came in time and by 8:00am we where already on our way.

Of course it is always good vibes and fun in the bus along the way, music and shouting, we got to a ‘muchomo’ point around Mukono wa Antoni taxi park.

Oguzulu is found in Mukono-Katosi we therefore used roughly three hours of traveling. We branch off the main road and drove for some time since it was a long distance from the main road but fun still. After minutes of driving, we found the poster indicating we are in the right place.

Free entry, we got in the gate and everything was so beautiful everyone was amazed at the sight of the landscape and space. It was all amazing and if one was blind folded and dropped into this place, he/she wouldn’t be able to recognize if he was still in Uganda.

We placed our orders for the meals as soon we had reached so that we can go have some fun as they prepare so that we return when everything is set. We went on to slop to the other side of the resort where we found the high ropes obstacles and zip lining.

This activity wasn’t for the weak hearted or even ones scared of heights, despite the fact that they provide all protection gears, you can’t resist the fear since they are too high and scary. People went and participated but I didn’t dare. However, there are more games to play especially in different teams for example; obstacle one almost army training like, treasure hunt, country race (well, since the place is big enough) We continued to tour around the resort down to the shores to see the beach.

Had a great tim e and fun there, photos and videos. Just that no one swam coz of the fishy smell in the water, this however didn’t stop the fun to happen.

After the beach like we had planned, we had to get back up to have our lunch. It was a distance from the beach back to the dining area, there was a steep hill to climb too. We called this ‘the adventurous walk’ from the beach. People had already started to mix and mingle at this moment. Up we went and got to the eating point.

Everyone was exhausted and were on empty stomachs, we sat and waited for our meals which they delivered in time hence everyone enjoying what they asked for, I for one asked for fries and chicken at 25,000/=

However they got more on their menu, fries and pork, fries and fish, fries and sausages and plain fries.

Others ordered for hard and soft drinks as a way of wrapping up the day. For it was 5pm and we had planned to set off back home at around 6pm. Everything was set and therefore had to leave since it was a one day trip. We got to the bus, those who had got new friends had got and those who didn’t mind mingling also kept on there phones (haha).
However, if you are looking for a place to go have a good time and experience from, add Oguzulu resort beach on your list. They prepare camp fires either at the beach or up in the open ground. They got tents for you and well structured shelters for accommodation.
