Assalamu Alaikum, dear brothers and sisters, how are you all? By the grace of Allah Ta'ala you are all well. I am also well by the infinite grace of Allah Ta'ala. Today I will present to you about the garden competition organized by Steam-Bangladesh community. Hope everybody enjoys it inshaAllah.

Introduction:

Jackfruit is the national fruit in our country. Jackfruit is one of the different fruits. There is no part of the jackfruit that is not usable. And that is why the name of the national fruit of jackfruit is very reasonable. Moreover its wood is used in making valuable furniture. And considering the nutrition, it contains a lot of vitamin A. Moreover, seeds also contain a lot of meat and sugar.

Land Selection:

When cultivating jackfruit, it is suitable for high and medium fertile lands which do not store water. If the roots are submerged for a long time in the flood waters, the jackfruit tree can be severely damaged and even die.

Seedling production:

Seedlings are made from improved varieties of jackfruit seeds. When the jackfruit seeds are kept dry, the germination capacity of the seeds is reduced. That is why after eating jackfruit seeds should be placed in seedbed or polythene bag. After the seedlings have sprouted, a good vigorous seedling should be left and the rest of the seedlings should be removed. When planting seedlings in polythene bags, care should be taken so that the main roots of the seedlings are not injured under any circum stances.

Planting method:

Square, rectangular methods are used to make jackfruit gardens. When planting seedlings, care should be taken so that the roots of the seedlings are not buried in the soil of the hole as much as they were in the soil of the bag. After planting the seedlings, the soil at the base of the seedlings should be well compacted and raised a little so that water does not accumulate at the base of the planted seedlings. If water accumulates at the base of jackfruit seedlings, the seedlings are more likely to die.

Fertilizer application and water management:

Jackfruit trees should be fertilized twice a year. The first time should be applied before the onset of rains and the second time at the end of the monsoon. Fertilizer levels vary with the age of the plant. Special care should be taken in drainage so that water does not accumulate at the base of the jackfruit tree mentioned in the table below. Fruits fall off if required irrigation is not provided during drought. Irrigation should be given every 10-15 days.

Diseases and remedies

In the attack of fungal diseases, brown spots are seen on the young fruits of the tree and the fruits fall off when they are young.

remedies:

The fallen male and female flowers should be collected and burnt.The fungicide called follicur should be mixed with water and applied three times in 15 days interval after flowering.
