Contest Bangladeshi Holiday //Democracy Day//

Hello steemians and I you people are safe out there in the world though the world is longer safe for us again due to Covid-19 pandemic but being alive today is worth celebrating.

I officially welcome to the month of June though it has its own features, when June rounding up, that means we have finished first half of the match(year).

Here in Nigeria, we will be celebrating democracy day which significant the handling of power from the military government to the civilian which is held annually. Nigeria got her independent in 1960 from the colonial master and since then, an elected body is emerged to govern us here.

Back then it usually celebrated in the month May but it was shifted to June 12 and one the rumours I heard was to equal mark the day of M.K Abiola dismissal. Nigeria has grown rapidly and since we became a Republican in 1963 whereby the colonial masters don't interfere in our decision making is really impressive and this year will not exempted as public holiday will be observed though it falls on Saturday but I believe come Monday 14th June,2021 we will observe the public holiday and this a tremendous turn around for us Nigerians. The incumbent President in person of His Excellency,President Mohammed Buhari will mark his 5 years on seat since he emerged in the presidential election he won 2015. I don't know what will take place on June 12th but I certainly tell you that is public holiday here in Nigeria and we use this medium to pray for the peace of Jerusalem(Nigeria) and the world at large.
I will say God bless Nigeria, Africa and the world at large as Covid-19 pandemic didn't catch up with us or families neither our love ones.
