Chronic Kidney Disease and Symptoms

Chronic kidney disease, which is also known as End-stage renal disease or simply end-stage kidney disease. When a patient's kidney function remains active less than 10% and barely functioning that stage is called End-stage renal disease or chronic kidney disease. And End-stage renal disease means you have kidney failure.

We all know that the kidney filters our blood and removes all the waste and harmful fluids and excretes as urine. Sometimes kidney loses its filtering capability then the unnecessary harmful fluids keep storing inside our body and kidney.

In straight chronic kidney disease is kidney failure. That means the kidney is no longer capable to function. In this condition, the patient needs to remove the kidney.

From the above picture, you can see that a normal kidney and a polycystic kidney. The cysts have been developed in the kidney and it gradually causes the loss of the kidney function capability.

The Symptoms of Chronic Kidney Disease:

It's a matter of sorrow that the initial condition of chronic kidney disease sometimes the patients can see the symptoms or sometimes no symptoms. But when chronic kidney disease develops and reaches end-stage renal disease that time some symptoms show up.

• Sometimes the patients can have nausea.
• Sudden vomiting.
• Can lose the appetite and don't have interest in food.
• At night sleeping problem.
• Yellow urine and the amount of daily urination can be decreased.
• Pain in the chest
• The legs, ankles, and feet swell up.
• High blood pressure which is sometimes difficult to control.

Although these symptoms are often non-specific for chronic kidney disease. These symptoms can be for other diseases too except chronic kidney disease. Again it's hard to identify anyone kidney related disease because the kidneys are highly adaptable compared to the other body parts. But still, if you ever see these symptoms then you must visit the doctor and take the necessary steps.
