The object of the Week" #37 - а tree || by @josantos

Hello friends, I am delighted to participate in the #37 contest of this noble community. This week the contest talks about a tree object which we took pictures of. In my case, I wasn't given a picture of a tree as a gift but I was given a life tree when I was a kid and I have watched it grow.

In my custom and tradition, whenever a male child is given birth, the child will be given some part of the family property as a baby. In my case, I was given two palm trees which I have been able to monitor and which grow. Since my birth as a kid, the palm tree has been a source of income for me because we produce palm wine, palm oil and broom from the trees.

It may sound funny but that is the truth about the amazing trees you are seeing above. It is normally a family inheritance because a lot of families share it with their children and then it is passed down from generation to generation. No family here that does not have a palm tree it is one of the major economic trees we are having in this arena.

The reason I cherish these trees is that it is my inheritance from my family. This is my share of the family property. I will in turn share it with my children. These trees can not be sold no matter the situation surrounding the circumstances. So all I will have to always do is to produce all that the palm trees can produce and then market it.

Finally, I want to appreciate @strecoza for allowing me to talk about my long-lasted gift from my parents I.e the palm trees given to me at birth. I look forward to seeing other new contests coming up shortly from this amazing community.
