Steemit Engagement Challenge Week # 4 | Propose A New Steemit Project: Teach Us.

INTRODUCTION

Greetings everyone one in the Steemit platform. I hope you are good in your various localities. I am glad to have held on until the first week of the first season of the steemit engagement challenge. This week in Steem Pakistan Community, we were told to propose a new project for Steemit. I must say that it is a challenging but an interesting contest for the week. I think this is the most unique contest out of the contests from the seven communities. Join me as I propose in a jiffy the new project for steemit.

The Steemit platform offers everyone the opportunity to express themselves on all aspect of life. It has helped one learn about so many things through many of the contest and projects that had been ran in the years of its existence. Many of the projects that have been ran came from the general administration of steemit and everyone has to write within the confirms of a subject matter though different views.

There is no gainsaying the fact that steemit is full of scholars and degree certificate holders in all fields. We have the Doctors, Nurses, Pharmacists, Lawyers, Economists, Accountants, Engineers, Teacher of different subjects just to mention a few. We also have individuals who didn't have the opportunity to go for higher learning dew to financial constraints but have learnt a skill. I believe without going to study a course or skill, we can learn one or two things from each other.

Today, I would love to propose a new project for steemit based on all I have said earlier. It will allow every steemian a chance to express themselves through their various professions or disciplines.I call this new project; TEACH US. As I continue this write up, you would understand in clear terms what this new project is all about and you would come to love it.

THE TEACH US PROJECT

TEACH US is a project that would allow every steemian express themselves in their profession or discipline. In this project, every steemian gets the chance to teach on the steemit platform any area of their profession or discipline they deem fit to share with other steemians. Here, it is an open field where each Steemian decides what he/she wants to teach.
The @steemitblog won't decide here what anyone want to teach about their profession but rules will be set by the admin. I believe everyone on steemit has works and businesses outside steemit. All of these were taught in the schools they attended or the places they learnt a skill. If the floor is thrown open to the steemit population, if not all, many will want to teach Steemians what they know. Everyone according to their profession or discipline chooses different topic of their choice in their profession or skill and teaches others. This is what the project is all about.

Now let us see the general roadmap to the project.

GENERAL ROADMAP TO THE TEACH US PROJECT

Here is how the project shoudld run. Before the start of the project @Steemitblog should make the the announcement of the project. This project is a big one so, it can have many seasons though depending on how long @steemitblog wants it to ran. The Steemit team and admin should be the only anchor of the project but it should run through communities. 10 communities should be selected by the steemit team for each season. So every week, an update should be given by the admin of the rules of the project and the communities that have been selected to make entries. Every Steemian who want to participate can only come through a community to make entries. So no steemian should make entries in more than one community according to their professions/discipline. Five entries should be the highest a steemian can make in a week from Monday to Friday, 11:59PM UTC, one entry per day.

At the introductory part of each entry the profession of the participants should be stated before the topic is thought in proper. While votes will be given to everyone (though not guaranteed), a reward should be given to three communities with the highest participating members every week. A reputation of 50 and at least achievement 3 of the achievement tasks must have been completed by every steemian that would be part of it. Group admins and moderators should review the posts in each community. This will certify that the entry is good or bad.
Just like this engagement challenge, the participants must engage with users in their community (this should be considered as part of the review by community admins and moderators), and the communities for participation should be changed every month except the two communities with the highest number of members at the end of the month. They should be retained because of prize of being first and second in the ranks.

When this project is fully looked into, some adjustments could be made to spice it up but you would agree with me that even from what have said, this project is a good one and would be very engaging

CONCLUSION

The TEACH US project is a project for everyone who had gone through school of higher learning, and those who have learnt a skill. All steemians will be offered the chance to teach us one or two things about their profession.

One very important benefit of this project is that in the near future, people who are in search of knowledge in different field of study will have to come and source the knowledge that have been dished out by participants. It will also offers us the opportunity to learn a profession without going to higher learning for the profession. Students who are in schools in different professions will also have the opportunity to learn what they have not been taught in there various schools. Furthermore, skills of all kinds can be learnt through this project. It will help each of us get the opportunity to know each other's profession and approach them if we need their help.
