Steemit Engagement Challenge Week # 3 || Defend The Statements || Be the Critical thinkers we want to see! || @sikan-eyen
Warm greetings friends, it's exciting to be back for Week 3 challenge in the Steem Engagement Challenge in the @steemit-pak / @steemitpakistan community.
On this Week's challenge i would be defending these three statements:
You will stay happier if you're unmarried.

Money is more important than love.
There is not a single day i go through my social media Apps that a story of either infidelity, domestic violence, divorce or spouse murder do not catch my attention, IT IS TERRIBLE !
A very recent one in Nigeria that occurred just last month, that is in April shook alot of people leaving me in a state of confusion.
Now here is the thing, i woke up to the news that a very popular inspirational gospel minister, Mrs. Osinachi Nwachukwu (May her gentle soul rest in peace) had passed on, and the cause is not far fetched...Domestic violence by her spouse.
A lot of married people, both male and females, yes males suffer this too, we have males who suffer this ill treatment of domestic violence by their wives too so it is not just a women thing as societal norms has assumed it to be, it is either ways.
So these set of people suffer these things and refuse to speak up, why?
Because they want to stay married, and bear the title.
The economy has even worsened the status of being married as 70% of challenges married couples encounter is rooted at finance. Money, money, money has stirred issues between married couples making the marriage infact go sour and both parties unhappy and dissatisfied
Another major issue between married couples is of infidelity. This has broken up alot of marriages as married men now breed 'side chics and baby mamas' and married women date 'smaller boys and sugar daddies'....
Doing my homework, divorce rate is on rapid increase everyday around the world, so please spare me for defending that you will be happier staying unmarried
The hassles is really a battle field.
Staying unmarried has quite some credits to it ; like you are free, you do whatsoever you wish, you not caught up in the middle of a cheating spree, you are not obligated to share your hard earned finances with anyone and even more you attain the highest level of peace of mind.
Personally i see as postscripts of contests i enter.

Love they use to say is blind.
With money, almost everything is attainable, you can buy the finest things of life, you can buy happiness, you can even buy Love.
There is a trending story of a popular actor whose wife married him out of love, at the time he wasn't made, they got married at a tender age.
But now man is rich and has gotten himself a second wife. So it is sustainable to say he just married his first wife for marriage sake, he now has the money and has gotten himself a wife of his choice (the wife his money can buy).
How do you intend to sustain a love relationship without money?
You need money to hangout, you need money to eat out, you need money to go on shopping, you need money to buy surprise gifts in spicing up the love affair, you need money to travel on vacations together... So tell me, how do the butterflies in a loveship bloom without these things money make possible?
Money is really more important then love.

Staying married where there is domestic Violence is not a wise choice but it doesn't mean that love is not more important. There are those who have remained married despite challenges. Thank you for stopping by with your own recognized thoughts on this subject, i just feel and see that this love thing doesn't play out well anymore, like the genuineness is all gone in the days of our fathers, as what is described as love is now all a lie under the pretense of material acquisition.
Money seems to rule, but i cannot deny the fact that true love does exist, it is all priority.

One of the things that came to my mind when I saw this contest post is that different people have different perspective to things or ideas. How this contest wants us to be critical thinker and to be constructive.

You are right my dear, I often hear of this too. Due to this, most people prefer to remain unmarried for the rest of of their life because of fears that none of this should affect them one day.
And again, the world now is ful of ups and down which is really hard to fine a true love. Some people will prefer to have children out of wed-luck to remain unmarried and raise up their kids alone

Is so true. You will be happier if you are unmarried. I can remember when i was single i can travel anywhere with restrictions but now i dont even go any were.
Lol, now you're stucked. That's why it is good to utilize singlehood effectively before getting hitched because it comes with certain limitations one cant really help.
