One Question changes Everything

Marvel's What if has just ended last Wednesday and it's time to review it. Its me, Sheham Hassan and I would like to share my thoughts on this series, so lets start

What if is the first animated show that sets in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It show alternate realies of previous stories which we've already seen before. Intresting right? Yes it is
Being a core marvel fan, I enjoyed this series a lot because each episode has a different story and universe. We got to see a different side of the character, and it was captivating.
The best part about this series is that 70% of the characters voiceovers are provided by their original actors, which doubles the excitement.

Story

As I already stated, each episode's storey is unique, thus some episodes, such as 4, 8, and 9, have strong stories while others have weak ones. They did an incredible job combining all of the storylines of each episode into the final episode, which was surprising.

Animation

The animation was outstanding. They created a Cell Shaded Animation in which the characters appear to be identical to their film counterparts. This sort of animation provides me a completely different experience, especially the fight sequence animations, which were extremely well done.

Writing

Don't want to say, but the writing in What if felt a little sloppy, with some cheesy lines. Although some characters, such as The Watcher, T'Challa, and Doctor Strange, were written exceptionally well,

Things I don't like

Despite the fact that Marvel has never failed to excite us, this series has a few flaws.

• First, it has alot of plot holes if you try to connect everything from main Marvel universe.
• Second, the pace of the episodes is quiet fast, and the runtime of each episode is only 30 minutes.
• Third and last, it was heartbreaking to see your favourite character die in such a horrible way; at the very least, show them some respect. It may not appear to be a problem, but it is really painful for a Marvel fan.

Is it worth Watching?

Now the question is whether it's worth your time to see it or not. Yes, it is, in a nutshell. I strongly recommend you to give it a try; it's a lot of fun. It will provide you with a unique experience as you see your favourite characters in an animated format. It doubles the fun if you've seen all the other Marvel movies and series. Although this series may have no bearing on the main universe, you may choose to skip it.
