Lahore Fort
Lahore Fort is Historical monument , which have prints of various periods of History.This fort is mentioned in various travellogs , historical discriptions and archieves. Like all historical cities lahore also has ancient background. During excavations in Lahore Fort in 1959 A.D remnents were found dating back to 2nd century B.C. further refrences fort is traceable in connection with shahab-ud-din Ghouri's(1180 A.D-1186 A.D) successive invasions of Lahore. It was destroyed by mangoles in 1241 A.D and rebuilt by Bulban in 1267 A.D. Later on it was again destroyed by Amir Taimor's army in 1381 A.D and rebuilt in mud by Sultan Mubarak Shah in 1421 A.D . Sheikh Mubarak Ali of kabul repairs to the fort in 1432 A.D. as it was destroyed and reapired many times in the history . In 1846 A.D it was occupied by British and remained in their possession in 1927 A.D. when it was handed over to Archacological Department after Demolishing a portion of the fortification wall on the south and converting it into flight of steps. Lahore fort is inscribed on the world heritage list and a protected monument under Antiquity act 1975 , which confirms its outstanding universal value.
In 2014the administrative of Lahore Fort was handed over to the Walled City of Lahore Authority.
Badshahi Masjid
Badshahi Masjid was built by Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb Alamgir in 1673 -1674 A.D. Muzaffar Hussain Sarmad ,Known as fidai khan Koka , Foster brother of Aurangzeb and then Governer of Lahore , supervised its construction and it tokk 3 year to complete the work. The outer expression of the Masjid is bold vast and like the charactor of its founder. On the contrary the interior is vivid delightful and highly refined becouse of rich embellishment with stone carving, marble inley and stucco tracery. Walls in their core are built in small kiln bricks laid in kankar lime mortar, while most of the exterior and domes are veneered with red sand stone and whit marble from india. Varigated marble , sang-e-Abri has been used to finish plinth and floor of the prayer chamber. Masjid is square in plan and covers area of 567x567 square feet. Main entrance is Through a Big gateway (Deorhi) situated at the east. About 60,000 persons can offer prayer at one time inside the Masjid. During the Sikh and British Period it was used for military purposes, which infected a lot of damage. Comprehensive conversation work was carried out from 1939 A.D to 1961 A.D to restore damaged portions. It remained the world's Largest Masjid for 313 years.

Unfortunately last month i missed a trip to lahore but insha allah soon I'm going to visit lahore because i always love places with great history...
