Hello everyone. It's the third week of the Steemit Engagement Challenge. This week, steemit Pakistan has given us an important topic to write on. The community gave five statement in which we are to defend 3. I'm going to be defending three statements which are

1. Punishment never has a good effect
2. Money is more important than love
3. Votes are not guaranteed - Sc01

Punishment never has a good effect

The statement "punishment never has a good effect" can be true when the punishment is too severe and doesn't lead to correcting the person to whom it's given. Today, most people became what their parents wanted them not become because of the punishment they gave them. However, it's also important to know that we can't say all punishment doesn't have a good effect.

To me, I believe there's a way by which punishment can have a good effect on a child. When punishment is given with the sense to correct a child and not to instill fear in him, then it will have a good effect on him. However, the problem with many parents is that they don't understand how to punish their children to have positive effect on them.

I believe punishment can have positive effect on people if it's done in love, done with the sense of making that person better. If punishment will make people better, it must not be done every time. When you punish people every time, you are turning that person to a goat and that will make punishment not have a good effect on him.

So, if people support that punishment never has a good effect, it's because of people handle it. You can't keep punishing someone you want to change if you really want him to change. In fact, the best way to make someone better is by giving or showing him the reason he ought to. If you will punish someone, then it should be done in love. You should be able to correct people in love, show them love.

Money is more important than love

I have seen how people live in love and do not mind if they have money or not because they enjoyed every moment with each other. They really loved each other, did things together and had a good home. But these days, most people have come to the belief that "money is more important than love". Well, I can't blame them because they must have experienced something that made many of them to come to that conclusion.

There are cases where the rich had snatched the wives of the poor. It's very very common. The poor are disadvantaged because it seems they don't have what it takes to keep what belong to them. And it's unfortunate that women also want to enjoy their lives. Nobody wants to die in poverty.

People believe that a house where there is no money, there won't be enjoyment. Tell me, how can there be joy if a husband doesn't have money he can leave for his wife to prepare a delicious meal? Many homes have been 'tore' because of money. Many believe that It's difficult to convince a woman that you love her if you have not shown how you can cater for her needs, if she hasn't known how much you worth.

To me, while I believe money is good and may bring joy to someone's partner or family, but I don't not agree that it's more important than love. There homes where there's money and there is no love. I don't believe money can keep a woman, but love can. I don't not believe that money can keep a family, but love can. It's true that you may not be able to what you want if you don't have money, but if you have people who love you, who want you, who care for you, they will stay by and with you. Money is not everything in life.

Votes are not guaranteed - Sc01

The statement "votes are not guaranteed" is the statement of steem curator 01. The Steemit Engagement Challenge started some weeks ago, and the statement was made by Sc01 that votes aren't guaranteed. The statement has been very common since the challenge began. Although, the statement is true even before the engagement challenge week began.

There are many reasons why "votes are not guaranteed". I will mention and explain some of these reasons. Firstly, votes aren't guaranteed because SC01 and 02 determines whom they give their votes to. And part of the reason they vote whomever they like is the content of the post.

Quality contents will attract both the users and the Steem Curators. Hence those who don't publish good contents may never see Curators on their post, not to talk of voting their contents. On the other hand, you may have quality contents and still not get vote if you don't follow the rules. For example, you publish a good content and you fail to use correct tags, your post may not be visible to them.

Further, not everybody will get upvote from SC01 and 02. And another reason is that, those that didn't join any of the club, club5050, Club75, and club100 can't not get SC01 and 02 votes because curators are interested in the development and growth of the steemit ecosystem.

In addition, there have been rules laid down to follow when participating in the engagement challenge. It's only those who abides by the rules that may get SC01 and 02 votes. And even if you follow the rules, that doesn't still guarantee that your article or post will get upvote. So, it's better to try all your possible best to follow all the rules, engage in people's post by leaving a quality comment, draw people to your own post by publishing quality contents, join a club and keep trying. By that, you may stand a chance to receive votes from SC01 or SC02.
