#Club5050 || Some silent words || by maqbool12
I sit here in silence, lost in my own thoughts. All around me people are chatting and laughing, but I can't bring myself to join in. I just feel as outsider. I wish I could tell them all the things that are going through my head, but unfortunately, words just won't come.
I guess you could say that words are my silent friends.
When people think of words, they often think of the spoken word. Words can have a lot of power when they are spoken. However, words also have power when they are not spoken. In fact, many times the most powerful words are the ones that are not said.
One example of this is in the book The Catcher in the Rye. Holden Caulfield, the main character, doesn't say a lot throughout the book. However, the few things he does say mean a lot. For example, when he talks to his sister Phoebe for the last time, he tells her that he will always love her. This is a powerful statement because it is one of the few times that Holden actually says something emotional instead of just talking about superficial things.
Another example of this is in The Lord of the Rings series.
There are some words we want to say, but never do because they work well as silent words. We use these words every day, but their meaning is often overlooked. These words are important because they can be used to build relationships, show empathy, and communicate understanding.
One word that is often used silently is "thanks." We say "thank you" when someone does something for us, but sometimes we forget to say it when they don't. Saying "thanks" doesn't cost anything, but it can mean a lot to the other person. It shows that you appreciate what they've done and that you care about them.
Another word that is often used silently is "sorry." We say "sorry" when we do something wrong, but we also use it to show empathy.
We use words every day, but sometimes we don't appreciate the importance of silent words. Words have meaning, and they can be used to build or destroy relationships. We need to be mindful of the words we use, and how we use them.
Sometimes silent words are more powerful than spoken words. When someone is angry, they might say things that they don't mean. Silent words can show that you're listening and that you care. They can also show support and understanding.
Silent words can also be used to calm a situation down. If someone is upset, a kind word or touch can help to soothe them.Listening shows that you care about what the other person has to say. It also gives you time to think about what you want to say in response.
Conclusion:
It is evident that silence can be just as powerful as words. Whether it is used to reflect on past experiences, gather one's thoughts, or simply listen to the world around us, silence is a valuable tool. So the next time you are feeling overwhelmed or need some time to yourself, take a few moments of silence and see how it can help you regain your composure and perspective.
