Good day everyone. We know that there are so many kinds of cultures in this world, and we know cultures are there to unite the people spread happiness, and show the world how jolly the nation is. These are when you listen to laughing voices from almost every house. People who don't even know each other will be greeting each other, and everyone feels like a free soul.

I remember a Bollywood movie named "Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara," and we got to know about the cultural Festival of Spain from that movie. In that movie, there was a scene in which the people had to run, and behind them, Bulls were running toward them. So that is a cultural festival in Spain.

Pakistan is also very enriched in culture; there are many different types of people who live in Pakistan who speak other languages and have a different cultures. There is a cultural festival which happens in Pakistan every year mela chiraghan and that FestivalFestival goes on for 3 days, it is celebrated to mark the urs of Punjabi Poets.

And just like that, there are many religious festivals, like Christmas, Easter, Holi, Eid, and many more. I wanted to share that with you all to tell you how millions of people just connect with these cultural and religious festivals and how these festivals light up the whole world.

Right now the Eid-ul-Fitr is going on. I had a very busy day, and I did many things that I will surely share with you all if you continue reading the post. And that is why I decided to write on the Countries Religious Festival which is Eid-ul-Fitr. So Let's start on it:

A Brief History About Eid-ul-Fitr

Eid ul Fitr is celebrated at the end of the month of Ramadhan and on the 1st of Shawwal (the month which comes after the Ramdhan Kareem in an Islamic Calendar). Eid was basically a gift sent to the Muslims from Allah, so that Muslims should celebrate the day after having successful 30 days of fasting for the sake of Allah, refraining from the negative things, and praying.

Eid ul Fitr has a particular salah consisting of 2 Rakat, and in this salah, no audible call for prayer is called. Every person gathers in a big ground or place to perform this Salah.

Eid-ul-Fitr

Eid ul Fitr is celebrated by the 2 billion Muslims around the world. It is celebrated as a day often called "Festival of breaking the fast". This day is celebrated worldwide by the whole Muslim community every year. And this day is celebrated by seeing the Lunar Calendar, as in this there are 29 and 30 days most, and this year that was the month of 30 days, so we all fasted for 30 days this year. It is definitely not easy to fast for 30 months straight, but it is also not that hard.

Right now, if I think of fasting, I might feel about how I will survive the day, but to be honest, while we fast, we feel another type of energy that makes us keep going the whole day from the Suhr to After.

Alhumdulillah, we have come to the end of the Ramadhan, and today on the 1 Shawwal, we are celebrating the Eid. This religious FestivalFestival is for 3 days. Which begins with the Eid prayer and then goes on to meet with the relatives and the people we don't even know. These are the days to spread happiness, and every other person feels a sense of inner peace.

Tradition of Eid-ul-Fitr

Before going to the Eid prayer, it is also a sunnah to eat the Sheer(Sheer is basically a dessert made with ghee, sugar, vermicelli, and a topping of nuts). And the prayer the basic routing is that the whole house members sit together in one room, have fun talks and eat deserts like Gulab Jamun, some bread with omelets and Tea, this is the tradition of my family on the morning of the Eid.

After that mostly we all sleep, and then in the afternoon we start going to our relative's houses to meet and greet them, they all welcome us and offer us the lunch or dinner according to the time we go to their house, usually at a year there are very fewer moments when we meet our relatives. Eid is the day that gathers us all together. So this whole day is spent in this busy schedule, we all have a lot of fun, we all talk about different topics, take pictures, have photo sessions, and Eat a lot.

On day Two of the Eid, our tradition is that all relatives come to our house. That day always is the most exhausted of our whole year as we can not even have a second to sit, but thanks to God, we are a big family. There are a lot of boys in our family to help us all in the whole setup, like making the seating arrangement, serving food, and taking care of everything.

And the most important part of this Eid is Eidi. Eidi(money) is basically given by the elders to their youngers. It can be as low as a 10 Rupee note (0.15 STEEM) and high as a 5000 Rupee note (73.26 STEEM). But sadly, the highest Eidi I have ever got is a 500 rupee note, which is 7.33 STEEM.

From our childhood, this one is the best memory for everybody today; when our cousins sit together, we ask each other how much Eidi they have got in this Eidand compare our money to our cousins (like Aur Batao Kitni Eidi Mili). And taunt each other that they are elder than us but still do not give us Eidi, and ask them to give us Eidi (even to the person who is just a month more senior than us).

The main tradition in our childhood was that people used to buy airsoft guns with their Eidi "usually," and then we used to fight with our neighbors and the person whose only fault was that he passed in front of our house, haha. But those days are over. Airsoft guns are now banned in Pakistan, but there are still places where you can buy them, and even today, my heart wants guns in my arm, but I can't as now it will be illegal (sadly).

I would like to end my blog. I had a really good experience writing in the Steemit Engagement Challenge. In this post, I told about how I celebrate the Eid Festival, things celebrated like a few generations ago, or newer generations lack awareness. Our childhood memories of the Eid Festivals are the best things; we used to have great fun, like cycling after the Eid prayer with our cousins while holding our airsoft guns in our back pockets. Those were definitely the wholesome moments.
