What skills do today's youth need to be prepared for the future? If you ask this question to someone, they might say that we need them to know how to code or learn a foreign language. While those are important skills, there are four skills that all of us will need in the future: creativity, empathy, resilience and critical thinking. In this blog post we're going to talk about what these four skills mean and why they're so important!

The ability to think of new ideas and come up with unique solutions to problems.

They are able to understand someone else's situation or point of view, especially when it is different from your own. Today this skill becomes even more important as sharing information through social media brings people closer together than ever before, creating an environment where cultures are meeting at a faster rate. People need empathy skills in order to become successful entrepreneurs who can adapt their products or services based on their customers' needs instead of ignoring them because they don't fit into the business model that has been developed for years. This problem was seen by Facebook early on - after all, Mark Zuckerberg created one of his first web applications called face mash, where students could rank other classmates based on how attractive they were. After the website was published without permission, it got all of Harvard's student body involved in a huge fight that almost led to riots!

They were being able to recover quickly after experiencing difficult situations or obstacles. This skill is very important today because we're living longer than ever before - many people will live into their hundreds and even thousands while working for most of their lives. We'll need resilience skills so that our careers don't get destroyed by one mistake or failure but rather enable us to get back up again after having experienced something negative happen. Even Bill Gates had his fair share of failures when he first started Microsoft with Paul Allen...after two years together they were very close to bankruptcy and decided they needed to sell something that people actually wanted. That's when the two of them created a version of BASIC for the MITS Altair 8080, which was an extremely popular item at the time!

Being able to think about all possible consequences before making decisions is essential in today's world where most information we receive comes not from direct experience but through other sources such as friends or family members who have tried certain products and services and want us to share their positive experiences with others - social influence can be strong sometimes! However, this requires critical thinking skills because what looks good on paper might turn out completely different once you've experienced it yourself. This happened recently when Uber had advertised that it reduced traffic congestion in San Francisco by providing an alternative to everyone who would use their own cars for getting around the area. Unfortunately, Uber didn't take into account that more people using services such as Uber and Lyft at the same time meant that there were definitely going to be even more cars on the road! These types of problems can easily be resolved with critical thinking skills so we'll need them before making any big decisions in life if we want to prevent ourselves from mistakes or failures down the line.
