Hey everyone This is my participation in the weekly engagement topic "CITY LIFE Vs VILLAGE LIFE"

I am born in the city and I have always been in a city so I know this life very well whereas when I talk about village life I have not experienced never I have just read in books and have heard from many different people in my circle. But I can write it down with all my knowledge. It is obvious that they both are two very different lifestyles.

I am a resident of Karachi City and it is one of the busiest cities in the world. It generates high revenue and supports the economy of Pakistan.

Like all other things, there is a good side and a bad side and the same is the case with cities and villages so I'll be discussing both aspects of both lives. Life can be very fascinating for a number of people but at the same time, it is devastating for others. I'll be discussing both factors why is it good to be in a city and why sometimes we start hating city life.

Why city life is good?

• HIGHER JOB OPPORTUNITIES:

One of the biggest advantages of city life is higher job opportunities. Most of the people move from rural areas to find better job opportunities in cities. Cities have big industries and factories and that's why they provide more employment facilities.

• EASY ACCESS TO SHOPS:

The cities have a higher population "more people more need". This lead to building a grocery mart or shop on every street. We have very easy access to shops to fulfill our needs without traveling too long distance.

• SOCIAL ACTIVITIES:

The city life is full of social activities there are so many recursion centers where we can go and enjoy ourselves. The cities facilitate their citizens from many different activities. For suppose if I talk about my city so there are arts council, Expo center and so many different places that are most often offering a different type of activities for peoples entertainment. Then there are cinemas too, big shopping malls and supermarkets.

• WELL BUILT INFRASTRUCTURE:

The people living in cities have most often witnessed beautiful and stylish infrastructure. The cities have well-built roads, buildings, and houses. Big building with incredible architecture is so common in cities and add more beauty to it's look

• BETTER EDUCATION:

This fact can never be denied by anyone. Cities provide quality education. There are better schools and people move from rural areas for the sake of quality education to cities. Most universities are there in cities.

• MORE FACILITIES:

City life is full of facilities. There are well-built hospitals in cities with qualified doctors. Transportation is very easy in the city. Restaurants are easily available with good food now online deliveries have made life much easier.

• DIFFERENCE OF THOUGHT:

I am not saying that the people living in cities are all open-minded but the majority are. what do I mean by open-minded? There is the freedom to accept new things in cities. The people living in cities are more likely to learn new methods and are more interested in exploring new things. Now we have the facility of internet. So people living in cities are ready to accept new changes in their old traits.

Why city life is so hard at times?

Like everything, with so many advantages of living a heartful life in the city, there are some cons too of city life that at certain times we got tired of all this charm and start hating it.

• BUSY LIFE:

Life in the city is too busy. People don't have time for other peoples because of their busy routine and because of this, the people living in cities lack in fulfillment of their commitments. There are no family meetups for a long time and usually, they meet at some specially organized events. The streets are much crowded.

• EXPENSIVE LIVING:

Life in the city costs so much. The people have to manage their standards too and this cost them a higher amount and besides this city life itself is too expensive. Basic needs of life like water, electricity, gas these things also cost too much.

• POLLUTION:

There is a lot of pollution in cities because of big industries air pollution and water pollution in excess amount are so common and the noise pollution is yet another big problem of cities. No one is ready to wait, the horns of the vehicle have made it difficult to be in a city.

• CRIMES AND INSECURITIES:

The crime rate in cities is very higher. Because of the increase in population, there is unemployment and people are more likely to do crimes to fulfill their feed. There is no security of life and property in the city.

To me, the idea of village life is a very peaceful one in living.

ADVANTAGES OF VILLAGE LIFE

• PEACEFUL LIVING:

The village life is very simple and pure. People living in villages have peaceful lives. There are farms and greenery everywhere that cherish the soul every single day.

• POLLUTION FREE ATMOSPHERE:

The village life is free of pollution there are no big industries and vehicles so there is no air pollution, water pollution, and noise pollution.

• HEALTHY LIFESTYLE:

The villagers have a healthy lifestyle. They grow the crops and they are the major suppliers of crops of fruit and vegetables. They eat original and pure and more likely they do their work themselves. They are more active as compared to the people living in cities, so they have a healthy living.

• INNOCENT PEOPLE WITH SIMPLE PERSONALITY:

What do I mean by this? The people living in villages are simple and kind-hearted I am not saying that the people living in cities are cunning but they are opportunists, everyone wants to be on top of the list. While the people living in villages are very engaging and they help their community people more, as compared to others.

• HARDWORKING:

The villagers are early to bed and early to rose people. They sleep early and wakes up early in the morning to start their day. They spent their whole day working and at night they sat with each other to have know-how of their surrounding. And in this way, they spent more quality time with their family and friends.

DISADVANTAGES OF VILLAGE LIFE:

• FEWER FACILITIES:

Villages are not developed till yeat and they have very fewer facilities for living and they don't have many opportunities and people have to face many difficulties for spending a good life in the village.

• POOR EDUCATION:

I am talking about very undeveloped villages. They don't have proper schools and proper resources to educate their students. That's why some villages have very poor literacy rates and lack awareness.

• GENDER DISCRIMINATION:

The people living in villages have some major issues of gender discrimination. I a not showing any biasing with this statement nor I am criticizing others but this is true. The proper villagers and old believers give more importance to boys and they have their own sets of devastating rules and thinking for girls.

• LACK OF AWARENESS/ HEALTH ISSUES:

The villagers have to lack knowledge and awareness and they are more likely to suffer from deadly diseases. There are no proper medications and safety rules. There are no proper hospitals and medical centers in villages.

• TRANSPORTATION ISSUES:

There are no proper roads in villages and no vehicles lie cars and trucks so it takes a lot of time and courage to travel from one place to another. Either they have to walk on foot or use their cattle and this results in a waste of a lot of time.

These are some advantages and disadvantages I have shared according to my knowledge, besides this, there is still a number of things to be discussed. City life and village life are two very different lifestyles but they both have their uniqueness. I'll prefer city life.
