Hello everybody! Today I will again make a small digression from the main story about my travels last August. But the story of the adventures will again touch Veliky Novgorod and my trip there.

Since I have accumulated not only those photos that I took with my big camera, but also a number of frames shot on my phone, I would like to talk about not very big hikes that I can't miss.

For example, while we were driving in a car in Novgorod, I noticed the Stalinist architecture of the old part of the city. I have always liked such buildings and most Russian cities have similar buildings on their streets.

And we also got caught in the rain. And this is despite the fact that the weather in Novgorod should not differ much from the weather in St. Petersburg. By the way, later, when we returned home, it turned out that there was no rain in St. Petersburg at the same time.

Next, my sister took us to where the historical site of the Rurik settlement is located. There are the ruins of an old church, which was installed on the banks of the Volkhov River, at the landing site from the ships of Rurik and his team.

But we will go there a little later, and now our path lay south of the central part of the city, where the ruins of an unfinished bridge are located. This place is very popular with locals and various bloggers.

Once upon a time, even before the October Revolution of 1917, this bridge began to be built, having invested a lot of money and effort here. They even made a road that led to the foot of the future bridge. But the bridge itself was never completed. Its stone pillars stand alone in the middle of the river. But there is an amazing view around.

Привет всем! Сегодня я снова сделаю небольшое отступление от основного рассказа о своих путешествиях в прошедшем августе. Но история о приключениях снова коснётся Великого Новгорода и моей поездки туда.

Так как у меня накопились не только те фотоснимки, которые я делал на свою большую камеру, но и есть ряд кадров, снятых на телефон, мне хотелось бы рассказать о не очень больших походах, которые я не могу пропустить.

Например, пока мы ехали в машине по Новгороду, я обратил внимание на сталинскую архитектуру старой части города. Мне всегда нравились такие здания и большая часть городов России имеет похожие постройки на своих улицах.

А ещё мы попали под дождь. И это при том, что погода в Новгороде не сильно должна отличаться от погоды в Петербурге. Кстати, потом, когда мы вернулись домой, оказалось, что в Петербурге в это же самое время дождей не было.

Далее моя сестра повела нас туда, где находится историческое место - Рюриково городище. Там находятся развалины старой церкви, которая была установлена на берегу реки Волхов, на месте высадки с кораблей Рюрика и его команды.

Но туда мы отправимся чуть позже, а сейчас наш путь лежал южнее центральной части города, где находятся развалины Недостроенного моста. Это место пользуется изрядной популярностью у местных жителей и у разных блогеров.

Когда-то, ещё до Октябрьской революции 1917 года, этот мост стали строить, вложив сюда много средств и сил. Даже сделали дорогу, которая вела к подножию будущего моста. Но сам мост так и не достроили. Его каменные столбы одиноко стоят посреди реки. Зато вокруг открывается удивительной красоты вид.
