GREETINGS FOR THE DAY!!

Hi everyone! My name is Richa Singh aka Varsha. I'm new to this community and was invited by @krishna001 who also happens to be someone who introduced me to this amazing platform for which I'm eternally grateful to him.

Sweet stall

The day today has been so pristine and pious as it was Raksha bandhan.. Raksha Bandhan is a festival about the promise of safety and security. On this special day sisters tie a holy thread known which is popularly known as Rakhi around their brothers' wrists, however these days it's not just limited to brothers people started doing this ritual with everyone they feel save their life some way or the other which is good to see for sure. Rakshabandhan is one of my favorite festivals, I apply henna on hands , wear new clothes and do a lot of shopping for Rakhi, sweets and clothes.

After tying rakhi, in return we also get gifts from brother. My brother gifted me a watch as per my demand and a book by Robin Sharma. Robin Sharma is a Canadian writer, who is among one of my favorite writers.

Now I'll jump right into my routine... I woke up around 5 AM today, bit late than usual because we slept quite late yesterday. I start my day with yoga practice followed by my Morning rituals. Afterwards, I applied mehandi and kept it for an hour around in order to make it dry. After a while, I took shower and did pooja at home. We went to market, brought sweets and Rakhi.

It's my last Monday fast of Saawan. When the clock hit 1:35 in afternoon me along with my sister tyed rakhi to our brother. Post that, I went to one of my brother's place to tie rakhi.

Coming back, my mum prepared some fast snacks for us Sabudana vada and makhana kheer. After having that, I also tied Rakhi to my grand father whom I address as baba. We clicked few pictures and posted it on Instagram and whatsapp status.

Rakshabandhan special!

In evening, I called my grandmother and my cousins whom I missed a lot today. Post that, I had a glass of milk and now I'm writing my routine to post on steemit in this new community and hoping to be regular here.

This is all about my day, I hope, it wasn't boring and I thank you all from the core of my heart for taking out your precious time to read my post.
