My Childhood Memories Part 1 – Play all the day!
Greetings everyone. I am here to make you nostalgic like me. I am going to share a bunch of childhood memories with you. Today, I am telling you the 1st part of them. It’s all about sports and games and sports and sports! Only sports! Let’s drive.
I was born in a village. A village far from any city. The road was muddy and unconstructed. Only a foot paddle was available to ride. Petrol-engined vehicles were also available. No professional doctor, no hospital, no electricity, no pure water source to drink, and no problem at all.
We woke up early morning after sunrise and went to the religious educational center, which we call Maktab. We used to learn by reading the Quran, our most respected Holy Book. Maktab was our first educational center. We recognized Arabic characters before our own Bengali or English characters. We learned Arabic before we learned how to count. However, things have changed nowadays. But, this is about my childhood memories, why I am spending time on them now? Haha.
It was a time, we had nothing to do after Maktab. We played all the day. There were a thousand types of sports and there were so many children in our village. Different groups used to play different kinds of sports. We never felt tired to play. All the day, all the day. Our day was surpassed by playing. Somehow, we grew up and had to be admitted to Primary School. Oh no! Disgusting!!!! But no! There was another bunch of friends who also liked to play. So, we played at home, we played at school too! Ahh! That time was playful!
In the morning, after Maktab, we used to play Choruibati, a childish sport for us. A soft kind of housewife-type game. After that, we used to play Touch and Run sports. All the time, you have to run. Just run, no rest. Touch and Run. After that, we left for the bath at the pond. There was also a round of Touch and Sink game. Water version of Touch and Run. After two long hours of bath, we finally get the time to complete our Lunch. It was a very tough routine for a full-time player at that time.
At that time, our mothers didn’t have anything to do. So they wished to get us some sleep. They lay with us on the bed. Time counts. 1 – 2 – 3 – 4 - ……. And boom! They are asleep and we are in the playground! Sometimes we play Hide and Seek, sometimes we play Police vs Thieves. A similar kind of game for us.
Ahh! That was some time! I feel nostalgic now. My memories are burning! Where that days are gone? There are millions of memories of my childhood sports! I can’t tell you anymore. My fingers are slowing down! Bye for now.
