Contest : About My Country
Hello, Steemians. I am @sabbirakib and today I am going to talk about my beloved country, Bangladesh. Bangladesh is a tiny country with a huge population. We have 160+ million people in a land of just 1,47,570 km2. Can you imagine that? 1000+ people for every one square k/m. This is what makes us different from others. Let’s talk about other things.
Characteristics
Bangladesh is popularly known as a land of rivers. We have more than 1300 rivers flowing all over Bangladesh. Another thing that makes our land different from others is that in the South, we have the Bay of Bengal Sea, and in the North, we have the Himalayas. Which made our weather healthy and perfect for our lives.
Special Places
As I said, we are blessed by mountains and seas, rivers, etc. Other things make us great. Sundarbans is the world's largest Mangrove forest. Cox’s Bazar is the world's longest Sea Beach. There are also many special and astonishing places over there. Sylhet is a land with hills and lakes. There are many natural places to visit there. Chittagong Hill tracts is another place to visit. Three districts in that zone, are Rangamati, Bandarban, and Khagrachhari. All of them, are equally appealing to visitors variety. Places like Cumilla, Gazipur, Rajshahi, and the capital, Dhaka are also appealing places to visit.
Achievements make us famous.
Garments and knit manufacturing
We, Bangladesh, are the world's second-largest exporter of readymade dresses all over the world. There is no top-tier country in the world who don’t import our garments or knit. This is our main source of foreign economy.
Sports
We are the world’s 10th Test cricket-playing nation and a full member of ICC. Former BCB President A.H.M Mostafa Kamal was a former ICC President, too. Bangladesh played in many Cricket World Cups. Bangladesh Cricket Team was twice runners-up in Asia Cup cricket.
There are no other sectors we have that can be mentionable.
What should be developed in our country?
There are a lot of things to be developed in our country. I will prioritize Education in the 1st place. We all knew that,
Education is the backbone of a nation.
Our education system is now very old-fashioned. It should be changed. It must be a curriculum like other countries.
Transportation should be 2nd option to focus on. More and frequent transport means frequent development.
The decentralized population can make our lives more ideal. ¼ of our population just lives in the capital, which is not ideal. More than 1,00,000 people live in Dhaka per kilometer. How could it be a nice way to live? It should be decentralized.
