Discovering the Enchanting 'Way of the Angels' in Tovena: A Hidden Gem Near Treviso

Today, I want to share with you, in case one day you find yourselves near Treviso, an important city in Veneto and also in Italy, that there’s the possibility of taking an interesting walk nearby, in a place called Tovena di Cison di Valmarino, a beautiful village a few kilometers from Treviso, where within this place, the "Way of the Angels" unfolds.

A few years ago, there was an initiative to enhance this location, so the idea came up to repaint the houses to make them more beautiful and attractive to visitors. However, in the main square, there was an angel, and from there, the idea was born to involve more than thirty artists from all over the world to create, throughout the streets of Tovena, this series of angels, which you can see in the photos I’ve shared here.

These depictions were created in various spots around the village. Sometimes, without hesitation, you need to enter some courtyards to admire these angels, or some were even painted on the doors of old houses. In my opinion, this is something that has certainly enhanced the village and created something beautiful.

Naturally, this path is open all year round, as it’s free and practically in the open air.

It's also worth noting that over the years, the number of these angels has increased. In fact, other artists joined those who had created the initial works, and thus the number of angels to see has grown, and I believe there are almost 70 now. This has certainly enhanced the village because it has increased tourism, benefiting all the local businesses. Practically every Sunday, guided tours are organized to visit this "Way of the Angels."

Since I won't be home tomorrow, and I usually do this on Fridays, I've decided to power up 26 STEEM, which will add to the 75 I powered up a few days ago. I am determined to reach at least 35,000 STEEM by the end of the year. It’s not a huge goal, but it’s important to me, especially to support the whole community. The more we all do it, the better!
