My Perspective On Capturing Moments || Why I don't Like Photography That Much || 10% beneficiary to @steem-nations
So many people have shared why they love capturing moments, but in my case, I'll share why I don't love photography that much. While I do capture some moments, I don't like wasting my time taking my pictures. I want someone else to capture my picture, just 2 to 3 shots—that's it. I don't believe in wasting an hour taking pictures. I also don't take too many pictures of beautiful moments or wherever I go.
I believe in enjoying the moments at that time instead of wasting time capturing pictures. I might take 1 to 2 pictures just for memory, but my friends usually take an hour to take theirs. They get irritated when I decline to take more pictures, saying, "Please just make some memorable moments; we don't even have one good picture of us." But I think true friendship is about enjoying the time together instead of wasting it.
Many people will oppose me on this topic, but it's my point of view. I've always enjoyed every beautiful moment, whether it was with friends, family, or just by myself. I never wasted much time taking pictures. Last time, when I visited the beach with my friends, I just made some videos and immediately threw my phone in my bag to enjoy the moments. The waves and those moments are still with me in my memory, and this memory is beautiful. I never have to open my gallery to recall all those memories; I just recall the fun moments we had in my head, and a big smile comes across my face. For me, that's what's more important—just having some precious moments in your memory.
I'm not always like that; I used to like taking lots of pictures and videos. However, I never fully enjoyed those moments because I thought I could recall them later by seeing the pictures and videos. Guess what? All those pictures and videos just vanished. I still remember when I was about 16, we had our first family wedding. I was so excited about that wedding that I took a lot of pictures and videos instead of enjoying the time. When I wanted to watch them later, I had nothing because they all got deleted by mistake. That's when I realized I made a mistake— instead of focusing on taking pictures, I should've enjoyed the time.
Now, I've understood not to waste too much time on pictures. Just take a few and enjoy the present time and those precious moments.
