Local food is one of the thing that distinguish people in the world. It's makes that particular tribe, ethnic, county stands out. Here in southern part of Nigeria, there are many local meals that makes us unique. One among us what I will be sharing with my friends here.

It is called and known as *Otomboro. The recipe is made from unripe bananas. It is a very delicious healthy recipe, recommended for people to eat. Is healthy to all ages including infants but in the case of infant, enough season food like crayfish will be added more to make it rich enough for them to enjoy.

Let start!

Ingredients

✔️ Unripe banana
✔️ Red oil
✔️ Dry fish(ibat)
✔️ Salt
✔️ Black Pepper
✔️ seasoning cubes
✔️ Periwinkle
✔️ Curry leaf
✔️ Crayfish
✔️ Cowskin

  • Peel out the banana, remove the fruit, wash it very well and blend it. It a local food as such am using a local blender to have a soft smooth texture of it.

  • Pound crayfish and the dry fish together and put in a clean pot. Add black pepper, salt, seasoning cubes, water and boil for 20minute.

  • Use a teaspoon, cut in the mixture and allow to boil. Wash the periwinkle, wash and cut the cowskin into a smaller shapes, add them on the pot and stir, then allow for 5minute.

  • Wash the curry leaf, slice and keep aside. Open the pot, pour in your desirable red oil and mix it thoroughly, add the slice curry leaf and bring the pot down.
