Financial Security: Application for The Communities of The Month Support Program
I am so delighted to see that the steemit community came up with this great initiative to support upcoming and already existing communities to stand. With the full consent of both Admins in Financial Security, I write from @financesecurity (MOD) to make this application for communities to be supported for the month under review. And we are very hopeful that this application would receive all the pulchritudinous consideration from the Steemit team.
Community Description & Statement of Purpose-Financial Security
Financial Security Community is a community that allows the publication of posts on ways to secure our finances generally, measures to take to make sure our coins and wallets are not compromised both on the Steemit Platform and sister platforms that are in use to secure our finances as well as share ideas and experiences on financial security. Posts shared should be able to impact others in a way finances are secured, knowledge developed in this field and also earn thereafter.
This community is open ended without limitations to any particular country race or tribe. We already have mix breed of subscribers from different countries and hopeful more would join to add value if given the required community support.
To the best of what we have presently, I think we stand out in terms of our uniqueness, purpose and choice of our community vision as briefly stated above. I think everyone that has joined/ subscribed to this community has been impacted by the few contest done and posted dropped in it therein.
Admin and MOD
The Financial security community, though an infant one has two Admins;

All Admin and MOD for now are Nigerians with the Official language of English. Language participation in the community is not a barrier as we can always translate using the "Google Translate Tool". There is also an open chat made to our respected Prof @lenonmc21 to come in as an MOD. Though still expectant in this regards, we hope he joins to bring his wealth of financial expertise and language diversification into the community.
No part of the team (Admin or MOD) are rewarded in any form for now as the community still remains a nascent one, but this would be considered strongly for our MODs who are expected to drive activities via the beneficiary reward scheme.
Community Curation Account
@financesecurity is the community account which also doubles as the community curation account with an individual Effective Steem power of 62SP and a community curation value of 25,869.95SP. We are currently using the wordofxpilar curation trail account with 13 followers and voting manner of about $0.30. For now, only the Admin has the exclusive right to vote using the curation account.
Delegation and Growing SP
We are doing our best to be strategic in this aspect as we may not be having all the available resources in our disposal but these are some of the ideas in place.
Plans are already in place to participate in the SPUD4STEEM Power-Up contest which happens every month and see how to come amongst the top three (3). This would be a going concern for us to help keep our voting manner in shape.
Plans to continuously swap SBD to Steem and power-up so as to continuously increase the community's influence level.
We are already talking to ourselves on a marathon "NO POWER-DOWN" era to enable us consolidate on the community voting manner.
Part of the Converted SBD would continuously engaged in conducting contests in the community, hence the anticipated support from the steemit team required to grow as a community
Community Rules & Engagement
We are clear in our scope of participation in the community as the name speaks for its specificity. Details of participation and rules of engagement were stated in our first two posts in the community.
Our stands is a NO NO to PLAGIARISM, and we have continued to make reference to achievement tasks for further enlightenment in this regards. Participants would always be educated and be reminded on this so as to drive its consciousness. On this, we would consider adding @endingplagiarism as part of the community MOD.
There are plans to create a daily initiative that would drive daily participation amongst users.
Plans/Updates & Promotion
Reaching out to members is one of the key areas to effectively drive information dissemination. Though there are no official medium for this in the present, there are unofficial communication channels in reaching out to a reasonable number of the participants.
Going forward, these updates would be dropped here regularly and ways to mitigate against issues pertaining to the weekly news update would be further unveiled to all subscribers in the community.
We are poised in making sure that we bring in quality newbies into the community that would be trained and guided all through their achievement task process in the community. Fliers as well as face-2-face information dissemination method is in use for the objective.
We ensure and drive "STEEMEXCLUSIVE" posts in our community that has remained unchanged.
Conclusion
Our reach would know no bound if we are selected and supported as required as most of us are already in top gear and willing to respond by the rules of the community.
