A classic. Forrest Gump.
Forrest Gump is a classic movie that I never tire of watching. An oldie released in 1994, winner of several awards including the Oscar for best film and actor. Centered on a young American boy with an intellectual disability, it takes place in the twentieth century, between 1945 and 1982 of comic-dramatic type to make you laugh and move you with the performances of the protagonist who is the narrator.
He faces bullying since he was a child but he counts on his mother's love and protection, he knows friendship through the sweet Yenni who later becomes the love of his life, but she only sees him with pity and takes advantage of him again and again.
Forrest by life circumstances can be present in transcendental moments such as the Vietnam War, he meets John Lennon, President Richard Nixon. He starts a shrimping business with Lieutenant Dan in a journey full of adversity and resilience.
What do I like about this movie?
That it is narrated by the protagonist, the strength of a mother to support her intellectually disabled son, his resilience. One of the most endearing scenes is when Forrest remembers how his mother had a special way of explaining things to him..
What's not to like about the movie?
The fact that his best friend and love of his life used him so many times; in the end she goes back to him when she knows her days are numbered, she was very selfish, she hid from him the fact that they had a son in common. Forrest was always a poor fool for her.
The struggle continues for a world without barriers, we need more mothers like this in Special Education, more of Forrest Gump's resilience.

Forrest is a special man. There may be many problems in his life, but he is still his mother's son. It's good that there is always a place where we can complain and mother is one of the people who is always there when we need her...
A person who is disabled does not mean he is always stupid, but there are things that we cannot achieve his abilities, and he will look better than other normal people....
This is one of the inspiring movies about the importance of giving support and also getting support regardless of how the love story is....
I'm so glad my friend read your publication, and good luck dear 🤗😘

Hello friend, it is true, disability does not make them fools, they are very sensitive people with a heart of gold, a big hug.🤗
You are right dear... ☺
Hello, friend @marito74:
“Forrest Gump”, a classic we all should see sometime in life. Like you, every time I come across that movie I stop to watch it. I love the character, between innocent and stubborn, of its protagonist. His existence takes us through different moments of the story, in such a candid way, without any questioning on the part of this young man, that we are inevitably attracted to his vicissitudes. Some took advantage of his good nature, but does that diminish Forrest's greatness? No, it only expresses that there are and always will be evil people.
Successes.

After reading the post , the first thing that came my mind is the contrast between a good mother and a bad girlfriend.
When we’re in love, we don’t see any red flags. No matter the advice they will give to us, whether it is coming from a family member or friend, we don’t see any wrong in our partner… but when you guys finally get married, you start seeing the faults we ignored.

Are you telling this because you are unmarried? There are bad moms too breaking sweet girlfriends. The question is with whom you want to live for tje rest of your life? If it is your mother don't get married.
No one forces to take a gf back.
🍀♥️
Hi friend 🤗 in Forrest's case it was different because of his condition,he only saw the good in people,he was a beautiful human being.
A good review but not about a short film.
Congratulations you finished Lesson 4.
A great Sunday to you.
🍀♥️

Hola @marito74

This is such a great take on Forrest Gump! You really nailed how strong Forrest’s mom was—she was the best! I think her way of explaining things really shows how important love and support are, especially for kids with special needs.
It’s super sad how Jenny kept using Forrest's kindness. It makes you think about how complicated relationships can be, right? I totally agree that the movie shows us a lot about resilience, and we really need to work on creating a world without barriers.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this amazing film! It’s a good reminder that we can all learn from Forrest’s journey and try to be more understanding and kind to each other.
