Cassava flakes popularly known as Garri is a stable food in Nigeria eaten by many people, some people normally soak it in water to drink, while some making it as swallow called eba which they eat with soup or stew depends on your choice. Without saying much or bitting around the bush I will share with you the processes (steps) involved in making garri in our area because some people use different method or ways in making their garri.

Yesterday I and my siblings went to the farm to uprrot cassava to process garri we which we uprooted so much of it because the garri was for consumption and some for sales as well, after uprooting the cassava we gather it together and pealed it in the farm there, because there will be so much stress to take it home and moreover there was a stream close to the farm which we gets Water to wash the cassava in the farm there that makes it easy and stress free,

After the washing and everything in the farm we took it direct to the machine to grind it into cassava paste, in the process of grinding some people add palm oil while some prefer it white like that, some even regrind it to smoothing it very well to avoid cassava wastage.

After the grinding we then pack it into a sack bags then we take it to the presser to press and remove the water from the cassava paste, in this process of pressing it is done gradually so that the paste will be able dry very well and be easy to fry without time wastage and stress.

After the pressing aspect then the next day we then take it to a the place we need to fry it, in this process frying that's when some add their palm oil it all about choice and the way you like making your garri, as for us we add our oil during grinding to make it mix very well.

Garri processing is very stressful and difficult for those who are not familiar with the work, but easy and simple for those who are used to it, but for it not a hard work compare to some farm works like cocoa, palm oil processing and others in the farm because if you check the price the sellers sales it in market you will prefer processing it your self than been cheated by those unscrupulous sellers

I have finally come to the end of this diary game contest which I will like to appreciate the effort of organizer I will also like to invite my fellow steemians @pea07, @olesia, and @ahmneska to take part in this contest thanks
