An Unforgettable day at Diyaluma Falls...

I know that all the steem Sri-Lankan community members are happy these days.Because I have seen that many friends have written their long weekend experiences.So now it's my turn.Today I'm going to write about an unforgettable day for me.It's 17th of January(Poya Day) a unforgettable day at Diyaluma falls.

First of all I must say that we had planned to visit and enjoy at upper Diyaluma.So we started our journey around 8.00 a.m.morning.There were me,my girlfriend,my best friend and his girl friend.Diyaluma falls is just 1 hour and 30 minutes away from our home.But we got the news that it is so crowded in there.As we use the car that day at about 9:20 a.m. we reached our destination.It was little bit crowded that time.As we haven't had anything for breakfast we had four kung coconuts as it is healthy.At that time the owner of that restaurant had a conversation with us.So she said that lot of vehicles have traveled that way and it will be crowded at upper Diyaluma.

As we haven't visited the bottom of Diyaluma falls we decided to visit there.As there were not that much of rain these days it is safe to visit there these days.

There is no proper path to the waterfall.We walk through a rocky path.It was not that much hard to walk.It took only ten minutes for us to reach the waterfall.The next eye view makes us so happy.There were not that much of water and that place was not that much crowded.That place is so amazing.Water is also clear and clean.

We had a nice photo session at that place.There are more than 300 pictures.So as we finish the photo session we moved on to have a bath.When I'm entering to the water I got to feel like that this place is like a swimming pool.Because water is not dirty and it was not that much deep.

We had some pictures when we were in the pool.At about 12:00 p.m. the place got crowded.But most people didn't came to bath in the water.They may be think that it is not safe there.But for me this place is not dangerous.But you have to take care of your self.

At about 2:00 p.m. as we got so hungry we get out from the water.We changed our clothes and leave Diyaluma Falls at about 2:45 p.m.

We decided to get our lunch from wellawaya city.So we reached Wellawaya at about 3:15 p.m.So we found a restaurant that named as Delish cafe.We had our lunch over there.It was so delicious.So after that we came back to Bandarawela city at about 4:00 p.m.Then we worshiped Bandarawela temple and we conclude our journey.

About Diyaluma Falls..

Diyaluma falls is 720ft height waterfall.This is the second highest waterfall in Sri-Lanka.Also the 361st highest waterfall in Sri-Lanka.This Diyaluma falls is formed by Poonagala Oya.From Ella it took two to three hours to reach the waterfall.
