Family Is A Gift That Lasts Forever | Steem Sri Lanka 3G Contest Series | Week 10 | I have the best family in the world.

Family is life, family is everything and without family life is meaningless. Family by definition is a group of persons related by blood. A family consists of grandfather, grandmother, father, mother, children, uncle, aunty, cousin, nephew niece. While some are immediate family members, some are extended family members.

Looking at it from another point of view, a family can be a group of persons who we have related with for a long time and have become inseparable from our hearts and soul.
This person's can be friends, neighbours, course mates, or church members.

Today, I am going to share with you my immediate family as part of this article.

General information about your family (How many family members do you have, who are they?)

My family is a polygamous family of 16. My dad, mom, stepmothers, brothers and sisters. My dad got married to three wives of my mom is the second. The first wife gave birth to six children, my mom gave birth to four and the third wive gave birth to three. This makes us a total of thirteen children, with dad, mom and the other mothers, we are sixteen.

My Dad goes by the name, Powei Hezekiah Zeblon. He is aged 68 and a retired teacher.
My mom goes by the name Tinnah Daubrakemiye Zeblon. She is 53years old.

My step mother 1 is Yinbotei Zeblon. She does fishing for a living. She is about sixty years of age.

Some of my siblings
The eldest born amongst my siblings is a Female and she goes by the name Gbamila Ebiere. She is married and with 4 sonss. She is 36 years of age. The second is a male by the name Bibinimibo Godfrey Zeblon. He is married also with two sons. He is 34 years old
The third is Imeleegberi Goodnews Zeblon. He is yet to be married. He is 32 years old. The fourth is Ororoemi Zeblon (@superwisdom) also 32, still single. The fifth is Ebibirituwa Victor, Zeblon, also single and into full time crypto. I @tmighty is the 6th,I am not married, I'm also into crypto trading. I and the fifth are 30 years already. The seventh is Queen Oyerigha, my immediate younger sister, married with a child. She is 27 years of age. She is a nurse The 8th is Ajawari, married with two children. She is a fashion designer.

The rest are still students. One of them is here on steemit, @akibiggie he is already 25 but still a student.

What's your role in your family?

I do not have any particular role yet. I offer the little assistance I can but no role has been confined on me. I do mobile data giveaway to my parents for browsing because I sell data. I also do same to some of my younger siblings. I help with the chores at home and some times I cook for the family. My cooking is well appreciated in the family.

How does your family support you?

My family is the support system I have as a person. After God my creator, I look to them for any support. They pray for me and give me godly and moral counsels all the time.
They supported me through primary, secondary school and university by sending money and paying for my bills.
Since I graduated, they still support me in the little ways they can even up till now.
My mom has not relented in her prayers for me. They still send me money when I need their help financially.

Are there any special traditions/customs in your family? If it is, what are they?

There are no special traditions or customs in my family.
We are Christians, therefore, we follow the biblical standards in living our lives.

Except for general tradition of my ethnic group which are not wrong compared to the Bible standards, we do not have any customs.

What's your best memory with your family?

The best memory I have of my family happened in 2009 when finished the secondary school.

In that memory, a church member and kind of family friend who packed his car in our compound lied that he kept money in it but couldn't find it the next day he returned to pick up the car. Because he left the key with us, he said we had taken his money. This money with the current rate of steem worth about 1300 steem, 398,000 naira. Because we knew no one in the house could do that, we stood in prayers to God expose the person. At the end of the day, it turned out that the man lied, he was in a mission to steal from us and also destroy our reputation amongst our neighbours.

It was a spirit of oneness that made us conquer this fight.

What brings your family together?

As it stands now, we are in different places. We only talk on phone to reach out to ourselves. We are from the riverside in my state, therefore some of my family stay there, some of us who state in the land areas are in different cities and sometimes different states in the same country.

But many things bring us together as a family. One of which is Christmas and new year celebrations. Wedding ceremonies, birthday ceremonies, burial ceremonies and naming ceremonies.

How do you deal with difficult situations as a family?

In difficult times, we put hands together to solve our problems while we call on God to crown our efforts in prayer. This has worked for us several times and this is what we always do.

Why does your family important to you?

My family is important to me for several reasons. I am going to state some reasons.

• I can run to my family at any point of difficulty and get savaged out of the situation.
• My family believes in me and the things I do.
• The togetherness in my family being a polygamous family is very welcoming.
• My family has supported me and seen me through school in a bid to giving me a good foundation.
  These are just few of the reasons my family is important to me.

Conclusion:

My family isn't perfect. There are things I wish are happening in my family that are not happening. The standard of leaving in my family is still set on the average even though we are not poor.
But in all, I love my family and would wanna have them back in my next life.
A polygamous family that can be this together, I have not seen anywhere around. God bless my family.
