Rainy weather prevails in many areas of Sri Lanka these days. Due to the landslide not only many properties have been damaged but also several human lives have been lost. A lot of people are very helpless now.
In the meantime, I heard another sad news. That is, the house of a student studying in our junior batch of my university was also affected by a landslide. Upon searching, I learned that their house was almost completely destroyed.
His family consists of only his mother and sister. Fortunately, no one was harmed in the incident. This accident has taken place at a time when there are many economic difficulties for them. So we were able to help them financially through SL-Charity. He was very happy about it and thanked us a lot.
Through the SL-Charity we were able to help them when they were most needed. I'm really happy about that. I really hope that SL-Charity will be able to help others more like this. It's really a great work. Thanks again to everyone behind this. ♥️
