Steem Sri Lanka, First Online Session Finished Successfully

The very first online session of Steem Sri Lanka was held on 19th of December 2020 at 8.00 p.m via Zoom. The main object of the session was giving a basic idea about cryptocurrency to members and giving some live demos on basic activities in steemit.

Cryptocurrency and Bitcoin

The session was started by giving a brief introduction to cryptocurrencies and the current state of crypto. Participants were given some idea about, Bitcoin, Ethereum, Tron and Steem.

Using coinmarketcap.com to preview useful data

Under this section, they were provided with the knowledge of how to find details of a coin and exchanges. They learned some important taxonomies which use frequently and also some interesting stories on crypto history. We also gave them an idea about how to understand the basic fluctuations of the price chart.

Exchanges

Members were provided with an idea about what is an exchange and what are the functionalities. Also gave the knowledge about converting steem into USDT.

Steem- SBD and Steempower

All the background details about STEEM, SDB, and SP were covered under this section. Specially we talked about the importance of steem power and #spud4steem.

Basic Wallet Activities

Under this section, we demonstrate some wallet activities like SBD - Steem converstion, viewing Trx history, transfering tokens among accounts.

Trx and Summary of Eli Powell's Speach

We spent the last 30min to talk about TRX and Tron and gave an overall idea about things that included in the speech of Eli Powell.

Writing Tips and What's next after contest series

Also, we talked about some secrete recipes used by some members for better writing. Also we discussed our future concept that we bring after Steem Sri Lanka contest series round 2. @madhumunasinghe, @sandupi and @rasinkani gave some new ideas for it.

Discussion and Fun time

Last few minutes we took to have a friendly chat by listening to the voices of our unseen friends. Some questions were raised and answers were provided. It was a really good time for all of us, as had a chance to talk to our unseen friends. It wasn't another boring meeting!
