Online Session | Let's Learn Steemit | Finished Successfully | 10% to SL-Charity
Our second online session on Steemit, successfully completed last week. It happened on 9th May from 8.00 p.m to 9.30 p.m. and 25 members including existing members and some new entrants who willing to create accounts were joined. There were 12 members for our first session and it is good progress to see a double amount of members this time.
@randulakoralage, @sandu, and @sandupi conducted the session.
The following topics were discussed as promised.
Fundamentals of Steemit
In this section, we discussed the basics of the reward pool, the importance of stem power, what is curation, voting power, steemit.com, and steemwallet.com. Also discussed basic UI flow of steemit.com.
SBD- Steem and SP
Under this, we introduced three basic currencies and their conversions with demos. Also turned their focus to read Steem FAQ to have a simple and clean idea about all the things relevant to steem economy.
Steemworld tool
We talk about steemworld at most of our tutorials and sessions. Knowledge of steemworld tool is very important to everyone. So we allocated few minutes to teach how to open steem world, what are the main sections, important indicators we can use to measure ourselves (vote count, CSI, all the time rewards etc).
Proper Markdown & Quality Content
@sandupi presented content etiquette, best practices, and some hacks for being a good commenter. We wanted to further elaborate on the importance of collaboration as a community.
@sandu discussed communities available in steemit and the importance of posting in different communities based on subjects. She gave some important advice about selecting topics and using photographs. We encourage members to share their real-life stuff always.
Introduction to Steem Sri Lanka Strategy
We gave a brief idea about the account structuring, financial structuring, and arrangement of the community under this section. Basically, we talked about the importance of building the voting power of the community curation account, about our delegators, the success we had so far, about SL-Charity and fund, about contest series and the community rules.
The session went for 1.30 h even though we planned it for 1h. We could cover all the topics we decided on early. The next session will be held after two months. But don't hesitate to contact moderators to ask questions and clarify things.
