Hello friends,

To day I had question about my smart watch.when I was surfing in daraz I saw the selling advertisement of my Haylou smart watch. It was the specially noticed that it was verified in IP 68 level.Actually I don't have any knowledge of IP levels. Then I just checked my smart watch catalog about it.it is also mentined about IP 68.

Let's see what this IP standard is. IP stands for Ingress Protection. This is formulated by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) under the standard of IEC standard 60529. This code consists of one or two digits. Currently IP67 and IP68 are the two most widely used in the world. Now let's see what this code means.

Two digits in an IP code represent two protections. That means IP68 means one out of 6 and one out of 8.

First of all, let me tell you how the code is structured. I will continue to use "A" for the first code and "B" for the second to make it easier for you and me to understand.

This code is called IP"AB". (From X and Y above). "A" stands for protection level for solid objects, or Solid Protection. That is, protection from things like fingers, dust, and solids. This protection level ranges from 0 to 6.

The second code, or "B", stands for Moisture Protection, or protection against water damage. This protection range is from 0 to 8.

Now let's see how IEC introduces the Solid and Moisture protection that I mentioned.
Now let's put the above into my watch. It has an IP68 rating. This means that the watch is dust resistant (6) and the watch is water resistant to the maximum depth that the watch can carry. But keep in mind, the IEC's Moisture protection 8 rating is given to protect against things like rain, as well as things like sudden falls.

Let's take the iPhone 7 now. You know about this. It comes with an IP67 rating. The only difference is the moisture protection so I will only talk about that. According to the Moisture protection rating given to the iPhone, it can only be submerged up to a maximum of one meter.

Also, one phone can have several IP rates. We have SONY phones certified to IP65 and IP68.

Not only that, some devices may have ratings like IPX8. This means that the device has only Moisture protection level 8.

And then the most important thing. The IEC gives these moisture protection ratings only to freshwater except for the sea water. Also, they recommend a water temperature of 15 to 35 degrees Celsius. At the same time the IEC says that if you put the phone in water, be sure to close the flaps well. They also tell you not to press the buttons in the water at any time. If you charge the phone with water, they will tell you to charge it after the phone dries well.

This is the simple story about Ip level of electrical devices.I'm soo happy. Most of items are belonged to IP68 that I was used.
I think you will check this special feature in your electronic items as you can.

thank you.

You are very lucky. you already have the device and studied it, this is good information to know the meaning of the code.

Yes of course dear,you also😊

Complete article brother. Well done. Most peoples didn't aware about this type of fact.

You have done a research after noticing it. Thank you for sharing with us.

It is my habbit.when I saw some strange things makes me want to search.
