Wildlife is an important part of our lives that helps us to maintain our health in various ways. Can we imagine a life without water, animals, a clean environment, and fertile land?

Today is World Wildlife Day as announced by United Nations. World Wildlife Day was announced to raise global awareness about the importance of protecting such natural environment. The primary goal of this date is to protect and confirm the habitats of the wildlife community.

Every day, millions of animals are killed for human purposes such as food, clothing, shelter, and medicine. World Wildlife Day reminds people to protect the environment to maintain a healthy ecosystem. This day teaches people that humans and animals live in harmony in the same ecosystem. Furthermore, this day serves as a reminder that our actions can harm nature. This day also ensures the survival of wildlife, which is deeply intertwined with our health and well-being.

Governments, organizations, and communities celebrate this day in various ways. Some celebrate this by organizing wildlife tours, photo exhibitions, nature walks, and educational programs to raise awareness about wildlife conservation. In today’s digital world, social media campaigns play a curtail part in raising awareness about conservation issues. Most governments use World Wildlife Day to announce new wildlife-protection policies and initiatives. Some communities take this opportunity to launch fundraising campaigns to support their work.

Therefore, it is our responsibility as humans to protect our wildlife, and for that, we can use at least this World Wildlife Day to do so. Anyone who cares about our planet is welcome to celebrate World Wildlife Day.
