UNITY

Being one person is known as unity. People in the ancient world lived together, worked together, and hunted for food together, unlike today. We could discover simplicity in ancient society. However, in today's world, people live as competitors; we are all part of this competitive world. People are rushing to win that competition. They don't care if the person running closer to them is a family member, a friend, or a relative; they just want to win the competition by setting a leg trap to catch them. Therefore we have all forgotten the importance of standing together.

However, it is important to remember that to get success in our lives, we must live in unity or move forward as a team. When we come together, our strength grows. Consider the fact that we can break a single piece of wood but not a bundle of wood. We can't tie a small creature from straw, but we can tie an elephant with it when it's organized as a rope. A brick is a small pebble, but when we use it to build a wall, it cannot be easily broken. You're all aware that a small drop of water can grow into a massive sea. All of these teach us that "Unity is strength."

We cannot achieve success every day, but when our lives become difficult, our friends and family members can provide support. We can face any challenge with courage if we can live in unity with others without competing. Can you recall our LTTE war experience of three decades? How can we win? Not only do the forces, government, and other parties make sacrifices, but we all do to some extent. That is known as unity. We can overcome any challenge if we move forward in unity. Because unity is associated with strength.

Most projects at our workplace are completed by teams because a team of more than one person can achieve any goal. To achieve those objectives, everyone must work together. This kind of collaboration fuels our challenge.

A country in which people live in unity, and there is peace and harmony all around. They are not fighting for religion, culture, or caste. People in such a country respect and value one another rather than competing with one another. They've realized that their true power comes from working together. People in such countries do not hate one another, which leads to a low crime rate.
