Knuckles Mountain range for hikers

Hello dear friends, have you ever been to Mountain Range? I believe most of you have been there. If you haven’t been there, I strongly recommend you do so. For people who prefer hiking, this is the best location. Let's talk more about this now.

The Knuckles Mountain range, also known as the Knuckles Forest Reserve, is situated in the central Sri Lankan districts of Matale and Kandy. The Mahaweli Valley in the south and east, the Matale Valley in the west, and the districts of Kandy and Matale are separated from Sri Lanka's central mountain range by this mountain range. This refers to Dumbara Hills or Dumbara Kanduwetiya. The nearest major city is Kandy. Other closer towns are around the edges including Matale, Riverston, Ratthota, Hunnasgirya, and Rangala.

The Dummbara or Knuckles Mountain range is an incredible resource that informs people all over the world about the unique biological heritage of our country. About 21000 hectares, or 0.32 percent of Sri Lanka's total land area, are made up of the Dumbara Hills.

Knuckle is a brilliant destination for people who love hiking and the outdoors. As there is no Wi-Fi, and limited phone signals it is very helpful to connect with nature.

A variety of natural ecosystems can be found in the Knuckles Mountains, which are made up of mountain ranges with elevations ranging from 760 meters to 19,000 meters.

There are several beautiful waterfalls located there. Hulu Ganga Ella is a waterfall that can be found when the Hulu Ganga passes through Naraga.

In honor of Sir Robert Horton, who presided as the Governor of Sri Lanka in the year 1833, the geographical area presently referred to as Horton Thanna was once known as Maha Eliya and Menik Thanna. On March 10, 1988, Horton Thanna, which had been made a nature reserve on December 5, 1969, became a national park in recognition of the region's ecological, geographic, and biological importance.
