If you asked me, what's the most uncommon gaming smartphone from last year, there's no doubt, it's Lenovo Legion 2 Pro. So this year, I was hoping for a Lenovo Legion 3 Pro but the naming scheme has been changed to an unmatching "Lenovo Legion Y90".

This smartphone looks robotic. When you look at the smartphone, it is pretty clear that it's a gaming smartphone. But it's less dramatic when compared with last year's smartphone. It had a motorized pop-up camera that pops up.. not from the top.. the pop-up camera is placed in the side. That smartphone is wild..

But this time, Lenovo is playing safe. No pop-up camera. The back looks more decent than last year. The middle part which has the cameras, LED Lightings, and Fan exhausts is small this time around. It looks well refined. Last Year, Legion 2 Pro snapped into two halves in the bent test of jerryrigeverything. Because of that, I think Lenovo has given more attention for the rigidity of the structure of the smartphone. I hope this time, it won't snap into two pieces..
Lenovo Legion 2 Pro
Talking about the smartphone.. first, let's talk about cameras. There's a bit of downgrade there. The main 64MP sensor is still there. But the 16MP Ultrawide sensor is swapped to a 13MP sensor. And the 44MP Selfie camera is swapped to a 16MP camera. I mean, cameras are not the main focus in a gaming smartphone.. I mean, the camera system is decent in this smartphone. But downgrading from last year?? That's not a good thing.

Even if camera hardware is downgraded, seems like other internal components are having upgrades. The display looks the same. 6.92 inch AMOLED, 144Hz panel having 720Hz touch sampling rate. There are a bit of bezels on top and bottom. It's because of stereo speakers which are 40% bigger than last year. The vibrating mechanism which gives haptic feedback has been updated too.
SRC
Just like last year, there are two USB ports to charge the smartphone. Last year, the maximum charging speed was 90W. But this time, it's dialed down to 68W. I mean, it's enough. Even here, we can see Lenovo is trying to play safe here. There's no 3.5MM headphone jack. Since there're 2 Type-C ports, one can be used to connect to an earphone.
SRC
Just like other flagships, Lenovo Legion Y90 is powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. And there's an actual fan inside to keep the processor cool. Talking about storage options, this is where things get crazy. RAM options go from 12GB to 18GB. And ROM options go from 256GB to 640GB. 640GB sounds different.. right? Yeah.. the thing is 512GB UFS 3.1 storage and 128GB SSD storage. So, this is a gaming beast.
SRC
In order to make this smartphone more gaming-friendly, Lenovo has included 4 Pressure sensors on where we place our hands when the smartphone is held horizontally. Also, the display has two pressure sensor zones.. These things can be customized to do various commands when gaming.

So if you are a gamer, it's easy to recommend this type of smartphone but you should keep in mind not to play with water when this bad boy is on your hands..
