Bangladesh Makes History | 5% for SL Charity

Bangladesh National Cricket Team is one of the teams which are showing really big improvements within the last 5 Years. So within the last few years, they broke so many of their records some are decades old. They won matches over countries which they've never beaten before.. And this is that kinda story. SRC

As you can remember, a few months ago, Bangladesh played a 2 match test series in New Zealand. There, Bangladesh won the 1st test quite easily. And it was the first test ever won against New Zealand by Bangladesh at New Zealand. And now, it's time for the Tour of South Africa.

A few days ago, an ODI series between Bangladesh and South Africa started in South Africa. We've seen what usually happens for teams that tour in South Africa. They usually lose. But it seems like it doesn't work for Bangladesh.

So, in the 1st ODI match, South Africa won the toss and chose to bowl. They may have planned to all-out them for a low score. But it didn't work that way. Bangladesh got into a good start with 95 run partnership. And other batsmen such as Sakib Al Hasan and Yasir Ali, Bangladesh were pushed to a good score. Because of the batting of Mehedi Hasan at the end, Bangladesh was able to score 300+ score which is 314. South Africans were shocked by seeing Bangladeshi performances.

In the reply, South Africa was unable to get to a good start. They lost 3 wickets within powerplay. But their middle-order played well. Van der Dussen and David Miller scored the fifties. But when they got out, other batsmen were unable to keep up scoring. Eventually, South Africa was all out for 276.

Sometimes, an underrated team could win a match against a good team but they can't keep winning. So Bangladesh lost the 2nd match Putting that thing in my mind. There, Bangladesh loses their first 5 wickets for 34runs. Then there were a couple of good partnerships. But wickets fell. Eventually, Bangladesh was only able to score 194 runs and South Africa chased it down quite easily..

So South Africa came to the last match with a positive mindset. So they won the toss and chose to bat. But their positive mindset was destroyed by Bangladeshi seamers. In the end, South Africa was all out for 154. Taskin Ahmed took 5 wickets. In the reply, Bangladesh lost only one wicket and they won the match with plenty of balls remaining.

So now, not only do they win an ODI match against South Africa.. they have a series win now. What an achievement for Bangladesh. They were underestimated. And now they've shown their real power.. So.. let's hope.. May Sri Lankan Cricket Team be able to get into their best performance mode again..
