MAS Awrudu 😍

April 11th was the last working day before Sinhala & Tamil New Year celebrations. So, there was an 'Awrudu Uthsawaya' organized for all the members in the plant on 11th. Dress code was a lungi for ladies and sarong for gents. We did not stick into a color code this time. Some departments had selected a color code for their members. As we have a large number of members, we did not go with that.

First half of the day was a normal working day. But everyone was in festive mode from the morning. There were some games happening throughout the week. Janakawi singing, Lokuma boruwa, counting seeds inside papaw likewise there were some games that are already finished before 11th. That was done to save time.

So, throughout the week, there was festive mode in the plant with the decorations, games and all. On the original Awrudu day, there was several games happening in the plant premises. Kotta pora, Banis kama, Kana muttiya bindima, aliyata asa thabima, wiwida andum game, Awrudu kumara and kumariya was happened on that day.

Everyone was keen on Awrudu kumara and kumariya event as usual. There was no big number of participants this time. Normally there are big number of contestants for awrudu kumariya event usually as outstanding majority of the workforce is females. To be honest, there are many beautiful girls in the plant.

We had great time before new year break with everyone. Though we work together, we do not get time for this kind of free gatherings in a normal day with busy schedules. So, with everything, everyone was happy and free. We wished "Happy New Year" to everyone at the end of the day.
