Have you seen this Buddha Statue when you are Passing Balangoda Town | 5% to SL Charity

You may have seen a large white colour Buddha statue while you were passing Balangoda town. This is located on the top of a peak. You can see this while you are in Balangoda town area. Also visible to Badulu Road while passing this area.

Me and my sister @dasuni came to my mother's elder sister's house in Balangoda seven days ago. Though we planned to visit to this temple for days, weather was not in our side and sudden rains came time to time. Mainly evenings are full of rains and thunders, therefore we decided to visit there in the morning. Actually it was near to noon.

We plucked some flowers to offer Lord Buddha. Yellow coloured flowers took my heart very much. We four left home and walked to bus stop by foot. The temple is just few halts away from my Aunt's home. We got off from the bus at the bus station and walked on the way which is laid near a river.

You have to walk around 30 minutes to reach to the temple if you walk by foot. It is possible to go by a vehicle too. This place is very much calm and serene place with lesser crowd. I personally prefer these kind of temples. 🍃

The specialty is we can see many peaks as far as we can see. We could see Pettigala, Dethanegala and many other known and unknown peaks here and there. I missed @supunchandra, who is very good in this topic.

There is a statue of a Lord Buddha which can be entered inside. Also there is a statue of Muchalinda snake in garden. This snake helped to Lord Buddha during "Sath Sathiya". And many more beautiful sceneries. Full of beauty and calmness.

This area is full of flowers and trees. Very shady and windy place with beautiful sceneries. We spent around 1-2 hours there and started walking back to home as rainy clouds reached the above sky. It was a calm and meaningful day. 😀
