Bride To Be 😘
As I said from my earlier post, Achini who is from our Amba uni gang got married last Monday. There is new trend of having bride to be functions for the bride from her girls' gang before the wedding day. So, we decided to have a bride to be function for our Achini. As Ishanka was able to come only at around 7 pm we decided to go there at that time. It was last Saturday.
Not everyone could participate with their works. So, Dilhari and I went from Ambalangoda. It was around 5pm when I left home. I went to Cargills Food City buy some sweets before meet Dilhari. Dilhari has went to buy a gift for Achini as she would not be able to participate for the wedding. I got a bottle of sprite, and some sweets and waited outside for Dilhari.
As we had time, we passed first bus that was already leaving when we reach bus station. We got seated and had to wait for lot of time until bus leaves. Then we contacted Ishanka and got the bad news that it was raining in the highway and she was still at Kothalawala. It is just 1 hr far from Kurundugahahathapma interchange.
But with the rain, it took more than double of it. And it was already 7pm. As we wanted to catch the bus to come home again, we had to think again whether to go Achini's place or to go back to home. As we got to know last bus from Elpitiya is around 9pm. We did not want to go as it was a once in a lifetime experience for her.
Considering time, Ishanka promised to give us a lift. So we decided to wait. It was around 8pm when we reached there. Though Achini did not know, we contacted groom and Achini's cousin brother beforehand. Though we did not expect, they have arranged dinner for us. I felt bad for bothering them at that busy time.
Soon after going there, Achini was surprised to see us as she had no clue. We arranged everything within few times as it was already late. Ishanka has brought a cake and a bouquet of flowers. We had photos together. Some of the relatives also were there. We had dinner then. It was around 10:30pm when we left Achini's home.
We wish her lifetime happiness. 😍
