MY DREAM FEATURE IN STEEMIT|STEEM SRI LANKA|CONTEST SERIES ROUND 2|WEEK 2|"APP AND WORD COUNTER OPTIONS"
Hello friends and esteemed curators.Trust you are are having a good moment.I am pleased to participate in this contest organized by @madhumunasinghe it would help steemians to air their views on the options they think would make Steemit a better platform.
For the records,Steemit is a platform that allows content creators to get reward for their contents.However,it has not got the desired publicity and awareness.
From my observations ....I believe these features would help to make Steemit a household name.I would suggested these features to be made available on Steemit.
•STEEMIT APP
Notice that Facebook,Twitter and WhatsApp have gained appreciable awareness because they all have mobile apps.Therefore it is very easy to get the app and register at any point in time.
My point is this,If Steemit can have an app which could be downloaded from playstore or any other source.It would make it to gain vast publicity and to be more user friendly.
The presence of mobile app for Steemit will attract more content creators and investors which would in turn triple the number of steemit users in a short time.
•WORD COUNTER
I am also of the opinion that a 'word counter' feature be added to Steemit.
Most times we are expected to write atleast or exactly a given number of words in our posts on Steemit especially as a rule in contests.
The presence of a 'word counter' feature will help the author to know the number of words he/she has written.
•POST NOTIFICATION
Post notification feature is another feature that I would love on Steemit.
This feature will show posts of people we follow whenever they make a post so that we can easily comment and upvote such posts.
Sometimes people's post expire without having any vote or comments.Its a terrible experience.
For instance in Facebook App,you have a NOTIFICATION BUTTON where you can refresh and see posts made by your friend/People you follow.It will then attract you to vote and comment.
Let me stop here for now.I will write on more features in subsequent bulletin.
I believe if these three features are brought into Steemit.It would go a long way to make Steemit a better place and will also increase the rate of voting, commenting, posting and awareness on Steemit.

Yeah! From the start of the journey, I had the feeling about a mobile app. It will be easy to access anytime we want. Nice ideas. Good luck with the contest.

You are correct. I am really wondering why steemit doesn't provide a mobile app☹️. It would be great if it has a mobile app, so that it can compete with other similar social media.

Yes, I think a mobile app with a nice user experience could attract more users, I am not sure if it is in the Steemit development pipeline already or there is a reason of no mobile app so far.
I think we can see posts of users we follow from the home page, under friends menu, but yes, there is no notification for this.
