It's My Home Garden| Steem Sri Lanka 3G Contest Series| Week 01

Home garden is the best place for a man to spend free time without any stress or tizzy.

It is the only place where man feels more happy and easy. Extremely my garden is a heaven for me . And also it creates a calm and inovative mind with a warm welcome to a enjoyable world .
Specially the beauty of flowers and their fragrance freshes our mind, although we have so many problems. So it is a priceless heritage of the environment .

I live in a beautiful village called Aluthwala , which is situated in Ambalangoda area. My home garden is about 40 perches in size , but we have a enough space to grow many plants.

My house has built on the back of the garden and therefore we have a broad area in the front side specially for gardening. Although we have enough space , we have shortages in water because there is a kabok soil. But we get pure water from our well.

Even though we have water problems, we have designed a beautiful garden with many flower plants, trees and many other plants. Specially as I like flowers , I have planted flowers such as anthuriym , roses, crysanthimum , gerbera etc .

My mother's Orchid nursery and bougainvillea captivate everyone's attention who visit us because it is really interesting .

I have used pots for planting flowers because of the lack of water in the soil.However colours of these flowers and their fragrance freshes me and makes my garden look beautiful.

Not only that , there are above 10 coconut trees in my garden which is helpful to accomplish our daily usage. And also there are banana trees , king coconut trees ,avacado trees, pepper , turmeric ,ginger , aloe and many other plants which supply our additional food requirements .

As this rich diversity of plants ,there are so many animals such as birds , butterflies , squirrels can be seen in our Garden. As there are some mongoose and iguanas , we have no fear of snakes .

Although we have a sufficient space to planting, we haven't used it completely. Because we have used a large area for walking as it gives healthy benefits mentally and physically. We maintain a pebbly space for walking and it really makes me happy . My nephews and nieces also like to come and play in our garden.

So I am very lucky to have a garden like this and it makes me happy and gives the mental relief .
