Jetwing Lighthouse Hotel First Impression

This is the fourth extension of my Saturday visit. As we had nothing remaining to do, we visited the Hotel by 12 noon. We had already made a reservation for the lunch buffet. Actually, we were 30min early, so they invited us to wait in the lobby.

Jetwing Lighthouse is a famous hotel situated in Dadella Galle, which also has a long history. It's very famous that Cricket teams once choose this hotel for staying during cricket matches at Galle. Also, most of the VIP people select this hotel to stay here during their visit to the southern.

You'll really feel the 'Antique' nature of the interior from the first step you put in. But it really has modernized service with modernized infrastructure.

The staircase of the hotel is very special because it is designed in a very special way. It is not a surprise as this hotel is designed by Geoffrey Bawa. Lighting and steel sculptures have made art.

The natural shape of the land is used in a maximum way with this structure. Our restaurant, the Cardomom Cafe was at 1st floor, where we had to climb just half of the staircase. Staircase climb up further. These sculptures represent a war.

The lobby faced the sea. Actually, we had 30min before lunch. So we used to enjoy the scenery just in front of us.

When it was about 12.15 pm, the place started to be crowded. We entered the dining hall sharply at 12.35 pm because the lobby wasn't a calm place anymore. We are served with a window seat which had a nice view and also enough freedom.
