If You Are a Root, You Do Have To Stay Strong

What is the purpose of a root? As well as anchor the plant into the surface, roots absorb water and nutrients that need to grow a plant. The root is the part that keeps the plant live, strong, and without falling.

You may have seen large trees are falling down due to wind when its root is not strong. Not only for plants but also in every organization in the world have roots. What does it really mean? There is an individual or a team that causes 80% of the success of an organization (according to the Pareto Principle). Who lifts the majority of the weight of the organization.

Take your family as a small organization. Who is keeping your family stable? Let's assume it is you. To keep the family strong you have to earn more money, sacrifice things and even have to stay with patience. If you are not strong enough to feed your family, they will down. If you really want to care for your kids you can't run away from your intemperate man.

Even in centralized organizations, the central root must be very strong when making decisions. The whole business structure can be badly affected by wrong and aimless decisions of the central authority. Governments fall down due to poor prime ministers who can't make unbiased decisions. Communities fail when the leaders don't take care of their members. Soldiers fail when their leader is dead.

A small negative movement of the root of an organization can make a huge impact on the stakeholders. Even when we work as a team, other members are inspired by the leader. It is normal if the leader gives up, others do the same. So to maintain a strong team, leaders need to stay strong and straightforward.
