Girls on Action

Today was a crowded day at the office as all girls came to the office the same day. We all were invited to participate women's day celebration, a girls' outing. They have planned to take us to Galle Face Hotel for an evening high tea.

There were 9 of us out of 11 girls of the company. The high tea was open at 4.00 p.m in Verandah restaurant. This restaurant is open to sea view and the interiors were super elegant.

High tea is served as a buffet and it costs 2300 LKR per person. Before we start our treat we got a special gift from our HR Manager by celebrating international women's day. I will share it in the next article.

Then we started our tea. There were plenty of veg and nonveg options with savory and sweet items. Foods and drink were marvelous and we all enjoyed it a lot.

As this is the first day of someone meeting others we had a lot to talk about. As usual, the tea event converted to a regular casual chatting session of girls. This was a good opportunity to get to know everyone better.

After the meal, we went to the beachfront to spend some time. It was a very nice view of the set.

From one side we can see the fourth city view. We spent several minutes talking about different topics. Also, we didn't forget to take some photos as well. One thing I noticed is, there were plenty of Kaputas around this area. Sometimes they even come in to open area of the restaurant, but it is not disturbing.

The dying sun made a beautiful view in front of us.

We spent around 3 hours here chatting and eating. Tomorrow I will share with you about savories and sweets that we had.
