Dry Food Items for a Quarantined Low Income Family | SL-Charity Phase III | 20% to SL-Charity

COVID19 is now everywhere in our area. A number of employees in garment factories are infected by the COVID. One of such a family lives in my area. The family consists of two daughters and parents. The family lives from daily labour activities and the salary of the daughter who works in the garment factory.

Unfortunately, their daughter got positive for COVID19 and she was transferred to a COVID treatment center. The family sent to home quarantine for 14 days. Early, most of their meals were covered by the places they work. With the sudden situation, we heard that they are lacking goods for their meals. They were completely isolated and had no ability to purchase goods. So that I decided to propose @sl-charity team to sponsor food items that they need for a month.

My brother @ashen99 and me prepared a list covering possible needs for 3 family members. We purchased the following stuff.

Goods were delivered very safely. We went near their fence and placed all items in front of the fence. Then we called the aunty and asked them to carry the goods. They were surprised a lot after seen the large bag of items.

They blessed us and thanked us a lot and quickly went in. We wish they will be in good health.

With these goods, they can spend a month without a financial issue. I must thank members of Steem Sri Lanka and all others who helped to collect funds.
