බැද්දේ කුලවමිය

Badde Kulawamiya is one of my favourite teledramas which um watching for the second time now. Time gives us space to learn and grow. In that way um watching and enjoying more now. I see things differently and I grab things differently. So my perspective about the drama is so different now! But it's still so beautiful

I have seen so many comments and reviews about the teledrama, mostly about the good side. Themiya is the main charcter here who came to sri Lanka, after finishing his higer education to become a doctor. As he belongs to a rich family his father is dreaming of a better life for his son.

But this time Themiya say no to sacrifice his dreams and time to make his father happy. He has a complaint that his father destroyed all his childhood,saying no to all his dreams. This gives a huge message to our sri lankan parents who always love to make their kids doctors or engineers in the future, ignoring their kids abilities and dreams.

Anyhow Themiya is choosing a rural village in Anuradhapura to to work as a doctor. There he meets a village girl, whose vibe is matching with Themiya's. Themiya is a guy who loves painting and nature. He adores beauty of nature and he believes he is something highly connected with nature. He hates his hectic life in colombo. There's a hidden story behind this too.

When I was watching the drama for the first time, I never thought of the practical side of Themiya's perspectives. Like us he adores that village life with limited facilities. Still um questioning on it's practical side. Anyhow this teledrama is one of the best teledramas in Sri Lankan History. Nadee Kammallaweers who acts that village girl's character is just awesome. I love her.
