Steem Sri Lanka Year-End Contest | Looking Back at 2021

365 days about to end, only a few days have left for 2022. So I thought to revise the special memories I had in 2021, along with the contest.

Coronavirus affected our lives also in 2021. Also, it had affected the 2020 O/L exam to postpone until 2021. So, in the beginning, what we wanted was to finish the exam as soon as possible. We spent almost 3 months in 2021 until the exam finished.

Anyway, it happened with both bad and good memories. This year I have gone to school for 2 days only, instead of exams.

We could travel some places in this year before third wave of corona. Those days were some of the best days of my life.

After facing the O/L exam, I started to attend A/L classes since the end of March. Still, it happens as normally as before.

In my case, I think most of the time of the year is spent inside the house. Because of the pandemic, we missed several opportunities and experiences. But no worries as I love to stay at home freely.

In April I joined the steemit platform with the guidance of my intimate friend @ashen99. I think of this as a wise decision I made even without thinking too much. At first, I hadn't much idea about this and had some things to learn. I have to thank @ashen99 for helping me through all this journey on this platform.

For me, It's not the same as before as when I joined this at first. It's because of the support of all the members in the SSL community and I'm thanking you all. I guess I could learn most of the things from this platform to survive here. Hope to continue this journey as far as I can.

Then, our little sister became 2 years old this year. I think the person I have spent most of the time with is her. The whole year is filled with different memories along with her growth.

By the way, as the schools were closed for almost the whole year for us, I couldn't meet my friends. So we planned to have a zoom meeting together to renew our friendship.

2 hours were not enough to cover the things of a whole year, but it was something like a kick. We enjoyed the time to the maximum with more laughs after a long time.

At the same time, I could buy some things I was looking for. I bought a headset, a laptop cooler, pen drives, and a dongle to use when it's necessary.

Also, I can't forget about the T-shirt I received from the SSL community. Especially, I wanna thank @ashen99 and @ruwankumara and all the others who were dedicated to make this happen.

This year I had a surprise just after my birthday. It was the news of releasing the results of the O/L exam. I had got a good result, but the O/L practical exam had been postponed due to the situation of the country. Finally, it happened at the very beginning of the last month of 2021.

At the same time my mother decided to start the renovation of our house. Living room and the varenda was renovated.

When It was so close to the end of 2021, our school management had decided to conduct interviews and start the school for new A/L students. After a very long time, I felt so tired after talking and laughing too much. Also I got a Pfizer dose from the school.

Even if we had to stay at home during the whole year, now I'm in Anuradhapura. We could manage to come here before the end of 2021. It's also good enough for a change.
