Scl Trip After Decades ^_^

I joined my current school when I was 11 and from grade 6 up to now, I'm studying in there. Something sad is we haven't gone on a trip ever since I joined this school. It's been like a culture of our school, not organizing school trips. Also, there had happened something bad to a sister from our school. A photo that had been captured while on the school trip had gone viral on social media and there were so many criticisms. After that incident, it happened this way n we lost all hope.

Now a few years have passed and now we are the eldest students of the school. It's boring to sit inside the classroom all the time and listen to what teachers saying. So we try hard to find something to talk about with the teachers to waste some time from the period. Our biology teacher is the best one to start a discussion with and continue.

We told the teacher that we want to go on a trip cuz we haven't gone on at least one in all these years. Teacher said that we can go on a field visit somewhere nearer. It was also something exciting for us. We used to talk about it during the periods and the discussion continued on. After a few weeks, a circular was released with permission to go on trips.

We didn't give up the idea. With time, it grew up and started to talk about going on a visit to somewhere farther. That's when the whole thing turned into a trip-like thing. As a result of continuous arguments with the teachers, finally, the trip was confirmed.

There were different suggestions about the place where we would go. At first, our plan was to go to Galle. There was soo many documents we should prepare. As we had such a commitment to that certain thing, we were dedicated to preparing all the files.

We got a chance to realize how hard it is to organize a school trip. Had to collect permission letters, make lists of students, and information about them, call bus drivers, decide the exact places to visit, calling to those places and have exact details, make a budget, collect money,.. etc.

We had only a week left to do all those stuff. Finally decided to go to Nuwara Eliya 2-3 days before the confirmed date to go. It wasn't a field visit, we only had a trip experience, and also that's what we wanted exactly.

It was 17th Nov, the day before the trip. All of us were there in the school, excited and counting the hours. There were advice and instructions on how it should be during the school trip. After decades we were the first team to get the first step to go on a trip.

According to the plan, we had to go to school around 3.45 am. We were so organized on the day before the trip. We were allowed to bring the cameras and a few permitted mobile phones only, so a teacher gave us a camera too. The most important fact, food, was also ready. Collected our favorite songs to pen drives, found bongo drums, found speakers, etc. I actually slept only half an hour that day.

I got out of home straightly at 3 am even if were informed to come to school at 3.45 am. As we planned, we went away from the school around 4 am. There were 3 buses organized. We got the better bus haha. The trip started!!!!!
