A Journey To New Experiences | Part 2 | | 5% For Sl-charity

Today I'm going to continue an article which was about a trip to Anuradhapura. Actually, it's not a that much thing like a trip, because we have very close relatives there and used to go as usually. But everytime we go,it's a new experience.🤗From these articles I'm sharing some moments I could experience at the last time we went there.

In the first day evening we planned a sudden trip to visit some places in the ancient city of Anuradhapura. Some of our cousins' relatives also joined there with us and we could hire a bus to the trip.🚌 We didn't have to get up early in the morning as the journey is not so far from the home and it was an one day trip. But the elders had to make our breakfast and the lunch earlier. We had the breakfast at home and departed by bus. At first we reached the Ruwanwelisaya in Anuradhapura which was built in the time of King Dutugamunu.

It was a sunny day, golden sand and the ground was heated due to sun rays. But it was a differnet feeling on the, a bit heated sand, and I liked it. But in some places it was like walking on fire. Anyway this happened before the corona pandemic and there was an enormous crowd waiting at the entrance of Ruwanweli Maha Seya.

At last, after enetering, we walked around that immensive stupa. I offered some lotus flowers which were bought on the way to the stupa. Even if the sun was irritating we had to tolerate it.🥵 After going around the stupa we came out and walked towards 'Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi'. We had to walk some considerable distance and on the way we could see different things.

_Lovamahapaya

'Lovamahapaya' was the most highlighted place, another creation own to the time of King Dutugamunu. Actually, that day I got to know about that it is situated between Ruwanweli Maha Seya and Sri Maha Bodhi. We waited some times there.

Finally, we reached Sri Maha Bodhi and for the first time I got to know, that females have no chance to enter to the Bodhi, by the way, I could see it from far. We spent sometimes there visiting those ancient heritages of our country.

Then, as I remember we came back to the bus, had to walk some far. On the way back, we could see the Abhayagiri stupa but didn't visit there. Bus was stopped for the lunch at an alone property, looked like an ancient, mysterious place. There were so many monkeys to interrupt us. Anyway we could see their talents while eating.😄

After having the lunch we reached Mihintale, it was my second time there. At first time, I could reach top of the Aradhana Gala and it was like going to blow in the wind. This time I didn't went there, but as usual we had to pass more than 1500 stone stairs to go up. At first time we went there, I carried sand bags as a help for the constructions there in the top, although this time we hadn't something like that to carry I was so tired after climbing a few stairs. After climbing down we stayed sometimes there near the slab inscripations(puwaru lipi).

It was evening and we departed back to home. After spending a whole day outside, she was happy.✌🏻

It was the end of our sudden trip. Eventually, I should admit that, national heritages are the identity of our country. It's a responsibility of each and every person to protect them, as thinking like it's our own duty.🖤
